Have you ever used compress air?

However the original question - from a common sense standpoint - was whether or not this might work as a tickling technique, and whether anyone has tried it. Now, if you happen to know without trying it that it won't work, then more power to you - and there's no need for you to experiment. Others might want to though, and I didn't think they should be discouraged from doing so by exagerrated claims of danger.

Well, as long as you're definitively sure that the claims of danger are "exaggerated," then I stand corrected. I mean, you KNOW this, right? Because you ARE a chemist, right? So, people should listen to you, and experiment, right?

You should be careful about what activities you endorse, or appear to endorse. Until you conduct an experiment to determine the voracity of your own speculations, perhaps you shouldn't be so quick to call others' "exaggerated."

The difference between my speculation, and yours, is that if someone follows my advise, they can't get hurt. hmmmm.

Actually, there are two differences: first, mine isn't speculation. It's based on knowledge of how these things work and actually trying it. It's the difference between drawing a map of an area you've actually walked through and just guessing what it might be like.

And second, my advice is intended to help people do something safely. Yours is meant to discourage them from trying.

As I pointed out, bondage is dangerous. You can advise people not to try it at all - that would be consistent with your attitudes about risk. But those who followed your advice would miss a lot of fun. So a better course might be to make them aware of the actual risks, rather than overblown guesses, and tell them how to play safely.
