Have you seen a conselor over tickling

I replied to a post on why people in the mainstream hate tickling.
I have spoke with differant counselors and a medical doctor on this.
My question to the forum is have you ?

camp counselors? guidance counselors? ok shutting up again,,, 🙂 im sure many of them are ticklephiles,,,many just dont realize it till you 'educate ' them🙂

I was a camp counselor and I tickled my campers often to make them smile and at teh end of every session ( 4 sessions total, diff campers everytime) my campers always tickled me on my bed....for at LEAST and hr. 😀

I might've if I had never come here and realised how common it is. We just have an "on" switch for sex. No biggie.

I discussed the issue in counselling. But, that was only because of it haveing been a part of past abuse situations...which is what I was in counselling for. My counsellor, along with several others I've heard of, says that it's perfectly natural and is only a problem if you let it get out of hand or are seeking it only to resolve past issues. If you simply "like tickling" there's nothing to worry about.

I strongly considered it. My wife and I were going through couples counseling during a seperation a number of years ago. After we had started to work things out and stopped going I had considered going on my own to discuss if I was completely freaky or not. I eventually decided against it for two reasons:

1) I came to grips that this is just me. I can't change it any more than I can change how tall I am.

2) I had found myself wondering if the counsler was ticklish by the time our sessions ended!

In all seriousness, I much prefer seeing a Mistress and enjoying my interest rather than seeing a counselor to analyze or "cure" it.

I've given it some consideration. I never have because I'm afraid I might burst into a ball of fire or throw up when I tell the person. If I did go to a counselor, I do not know if I'd want a male or female.

Having a fetish is perfectly normal, and by 'coming out' about your tickling interests is a sign that you're comfortable with who you are. By simply joining this forum, you've demonstrated that you're okay with your particular 'quirk', and are prepared to acknowledge it to the world, at least behind a pseudonym. It's the people who have a fetish, but choose to repress it that worry me, as it may lead to more serious problems further on down the road (i.e. sexual dysfunction, depression)

LOL I'm going to school to be a therapist..and I do not know what I would say if someone came in and told me they had a tickle fetish! I'm sure I'd turn 50 shades of red , stutter over my words 😕 LOL and of course get that tickley feeling all over my body ..especially if it was a boy and he was a ler!!
