Just bought that clip, she is for real. Actually the kinda girl who's so ticklish that she'd never agree to being tickled... and there she was!

I'm an amateur who knows nothing about video production.. I just went to walmart and picked up a bunch of halogen work lights.

I feel your pain, brother. Went through the same thing with LOL and I still don't have it figured out. I suppose people get full college degrees for this kind of stuff, though, so I don't feel too bad.

Try googling "video lighting" or terms along those lines and you'll find sites like:

That's how I got started. An hour or so of surfing and reading should give you the basics. And I never purchased any kind of light kit (maybe it shows?), but instead use whatever's available in the best alignment I can. Prepare yourself, though...there are no eye-rolls like the eye-rolls you'll get from your friends during a shoot when you say "Wait a minute! I gotta adjust the lighting!" Like you know what you're doing or something... 😉

Anyway, good luck man. We've had a blast so far, hope the same works out for you.

Yeah it was definitely fun once it started (I was nervous as hell before the shoot, since this was my first one). Her friend was off camera making fun of her the whole time and snapping shots with her cell phone to send to their friends haha. Weird tickle fetish people.

Is it pretty much a consensus that I need to do more foot tickling? I think I let Amber off easy, but she was exhausted and I think in shock. A majority of the people buying clips are buying the feet-only clip..

I haven't purchased the full clip yet, but I certainly intend to. Watched the preview clips on both a laptop and a 19" widescreen monitor; HD definitely seems better. Congratulations on starting your store and good luck! As for where to tickle, like Darkknight said, cover all bases and really focus on what drives 'em wild; I'm an upperbody fan myself as well so please don't stop. I hope all goes well on Friday and here's hoping you can get Amber back in again too! Well maybe I shouldn't get too carried away just yet (lol), but my point is that I hope you find success and tickle happiness that you don't mind share with the rest of us. 😀

So how do these clips look on an HD monitor compared to a regular monitor? I'm just using a regular monitor to upload and edit them.. I see a little more detail because of the increased resolution.. but is there a big difference when viewing them using an HD monitor?

If her feet are ticklish, you should probably do more foot tickling than the first clip, for financial reasons. I can't wait to see your next video...

I would say to offer an wmv option if possible. I know that Quicktime is sucking resources like crazy, and that would certainly curtail the amount of .MOV clips I could buy.

I second that! The computer I am using at the moment gets eaten alive by HD clips, so although I thought your clip was great stuff, I had to convert it to a lower resolution .WMV to watch it

If you have time to encode both, having a HD and non-HD option would mean the best of both worlds and more choice can't be bad for business, right! 😀

Every time I tried to convert the files to .wmv using quicktime pro, it would only convert a few seconds. I couldn't figure out why.

I'll try to find a separate program that will let me do that.

Try SUPER...it is a very good and comprehensive encoder/converter program, plus it's free!

That looks like a great app, but I'm working on a mac.

I just tried to convert it again and it only converts 22 seconds then stops.

What about .mpeg? I'm pretty sure I can get it into that format.. would that be more convenient?

Update: The Jessica Alba look-a-like turned out to be psychotic. Stupid myspace.. sigh.

Yep, .mpg or .avi should be fine. As long as it is a lower resolution file it should ease the burden on the low end / average spec PC's. If you test it on an older PC you can fine tune how much you want to adjust the file quality to stop older PC's from being eaten alive by all that HD goodness 😀

I don't know a lot about Mac's I'm afraid, so can't help you there >.<
