You think Charlize or Penelope is more ticklish???
I'll weigh in!
First off, I like this scene very much! I think it's acted more than real tickling, but I still like it, just for the fact that someone had the wherewithal to IMAGINE the scene in the first place, and cast two super hot chicks in the role.........and in the case of Charlize, it's a big improvement over the already-existing scene from The Cider House Rules.
The Penelope Cruz scene I knew isn's a scene it all worth mentioning (which is why I never have): In "All About My Mother", a character moves his/her hands slightly in Penelope's direction, and she kind of flinches and smiles in anticipation, so I hung my hat on that measly little scene as an indication of her possible ticklishness. But that's REALLY stretching it, but I was like.....hmmmm.....possible clue!
Now, with THIS scene.........I feel like Charlize is the more convincing ticklee.....Penelope doesn't seem too fazed by the tickling (and seems to really enjoy DOING the tickling). On the other hand.....he's not REALLY tickling her.....and my theory has been that if an actress is TOO ticklish, that maybe that's when they resort to the "movie" fake-tickling that we're all so familiar with. Maybe this was the 14th take of the scene. Didn't Charlize's husband direct this movie? I'm sure he was favoring HER being tickled, hahaha, so perhaps he selected a take that made Charlize appear more convincing. We'll never know.
Personally, I am more of a Penelope Cruz admirer (love them BOTH of course) so I WANT her to be the more ticklish one, but my GUESS, from this scene, is that it's actually CHARLIZE (and according to Keanu Reeves, he tickled her in a movie scene that got deleted, so there's another hint).
NOW.....adding to the INTRIGUE........Tom Cruise has tickled Gina Gershon in "Cocktail" and the Mastrionao beuaty in "The Color of Money"....and both scenes come off as unscripted and possibly improv'd my Mr. Cruise. Add to that that he actually went out of his way to tell an interviewer about his wife's (nicole kidman) ticklishness, going so far as to identify the area on her body...........I will venture a guess and say the Tom Cruise is not immune to the charms of tickling his girlfriends.
And if Penelope Cruz turns out to be a cold fish, and can take being touched all over without breaking down.....well..........maybe THAT'S why they broke up! "this chick's no fun', hahahaha.
All I know is I was moritifed that this Penelope Cruz, who was a pretty great actress in her native tongue, would come to Hollywood and hook up with the dickiest dude in Hollywood.....and I hope she IS ticklish and that she maybe she used to make fun of him, insult his ego, so he ditched her ass, hahaha.
