hey bugman, we are actually flying into Austin, we got much cheaper air...the place we are staying is actually between Austin and San Antonio called Canyon Lake..., so what else besides San Antonio do you recommend going to?

Canyon Lake is beautiful.You might check out Aquarena Springs in San Marcos if you like nature.It's just north of San Antoino and you can ride a glass bottom boat on the San Marcos river.

There are also several vineyards near the park that offer free tours.

San Antonio is my home-away-from-home. I have family there. Visit the SCHLITTERBAUN water park just north of SA, if it's hot enough. Also, there's Sea World, Fiesta Six Flags, and the Alamo. Not to mention the Riverwalk.
