I saw this in a medical journal recently. According to this doctor "two minutes of foot tickling is sufficient to trigger the release of endorphins and dopamine(the pleasure hormone), for up to 12 hours. Just thought I'd share that. Sadly I have noone to tickle my feet. Of course having never actually BEEN tickled in my life, I am not even sure if I AM ticklish, on my feet or anywhere else for that matter.

Yeah I'm actually a kinesiology undergrad right now and we learn all about the physiology of the human body and stuff. Laughing is definitely healthy for you because of all the positive chemicals released and since tickling causes laughing I can see the healthy connection 🙂

I always thought it's part of an exercise in some way. But I never knew how healthy it is until now. 🙂

There must be some respiratory value too, isn't there?

Bringing the thread back to topic, I think laughing does have health benefits like others previously have said, with releasing chemicals and such, but I also heard it slows your heartbeat. I dunno if that is the same during tickling cause of all the 'physical' activity (squirming, struggling, etc). Interesting idea nonetheless.

Hehe, if tickling was a sport, I'd fail, because I get out of shape just doing normal exercises, lmao xD HOw would tickling benefit me then? lmao
