I have a lot of favorite dishes to cook. I am good at what I do. If I had to choose one, I would said Salmon cooked out on the grill. Okay V.D., chat with ya later.

Any particular seasonings you'd put on this dish, or does it taste just fine without any? Alot of people like using lemon juice with fish and alot of other seafood.

Lemon Juice and Lemon Pepper as well. cooked just right = delightful dish.

You said you like Axis & Allies. I saw that game at a store in the mall and have seen it many times since. Its not available everywhere, but I looked at the back of the box and it looks really involving, alot like Risk, but more strategic and involving. It was pretty expensive though.

Is it worth the purchase? I might buy it for whenever I have guests over and for whatever reason we have time to spare. I'm really into strategy games, whether they be board games like this one, PC games, or reguar video games.

Have you played Command & Conquer 2: Yuri's Revenge? I have that game. If you have a decent net connection and you have the game maybe we can battle some time. I also have the StarCraft games.

Sorry for the late welcome, Atlanta 🙂 If you have any questions you'll find no shortage of helpful people here. 🙂
mmmm...grilled salmon...makes me wish we didnt already have dinner cooking or I'd be making a salmon run right now... 😛

If you like WWII campagins and World Domination from any front, then it is worth the purchase. I have also played Risk and Risk 2210 (which was very interesting indeed). The A&A game that I play, is on the PC, but I have played the board game of Axis and Allies as well. No I have not played Command and Conquer 2. Where can I find it? I may just buy it.

I see.

Well, I'm not sure if it's still available. Since Yuri's Revenge, there has been another addition to the C&C series, and its called Generals. But it demands quite a bit from your computer in order to play well. I don't have it though.

Command & Conquer 2 and the Yuri's Revenge expansion pack should be available anywhere PC games are sold. It should be available as a complete pack which includes both of them. The game doesn't demand much from your computer, and its pretty user-friendly.

Basically, it takes place in the not so distant future. You can play as the Allies, the Soviets, or as Yuri's Army. Each one has it's own distant strengths and weaknesses as you'd expect from a real time strategy game.

It has a tecnological edge to it. For example, the Allies have a unit called the Prism Tank, which is basically a tank that fires optic lasers from a prism that can arc in different directions and is really devestating against enemy buildings and troops, but is weak against other tanks.

The Soviets possess the strongest tank unit in the game, they've named the Apocalypse. Its expensive and slower than the other tanks in the game, but its good against everything, and it also sports twin-mounted surface-to-air missles for aircraft interception.

Yuri's forces have a wide variety of unique troops and vehicles. Yuri's main strength however is his psychic technology, which allows Yuri players to take control of enemy troops, tanks, units, and sometimes enemy buildings and defensive structures. Yuri also has cloning technology which allows you to create an extra troop for every troop you train, free of cost.

With the Allies and the Soviets you can also play as a particular nation in the alliance.

For example, if you choose to play as Korea (one of my favorites) you get a special unit that no other branch gets called the Black Eagle. Its a heavy fighter bomber which is very durable and delivers a more massive payload to the target.

If you play as the Soviets, one nation you can represent is Libya (my favorite for the Soviets). By playing as them you get a special unit called the Demolition Truck, which is a truck that self-destructs on a target and sets off a small-scale nuclear bomb.

In addition to these things, each force gets super weopons which they can build.

The Allies have the Weather Control Machine (which creates storm clouds about enemy bases and causes lighting to destroy enemy structures and units over a wide radius. They also have a device called the Chronosphere. It allows the Allies to warp in units from anywhere on the map to anywhere else on the map.

The Soviets have the Nuclear Missle Silo, which causes massive damage within the blast radius and also causes radiation damage afterwards and kills any troops nearby. The Soviets also have a device called the Iron Curtain, which allows them to make their tanks temporarily invincible.

Yuri's Army has the Psychic Dominator, which causes damage to enemy buildings in the radius, but first and foremost perminentally mind controls enemy units that it targets. Yuri's Army also has a device called the Genetic Mutator, which allows the Yuri player to transform any troops into Brutes (a monstrosity of a man akin to the Hulk which is effective against tanks, troops, and buildings).

All of these super weopons are long range and the target can be chosen from anywhere on the map, which makes them very key. They are expensive, and slow to build, and they also require a power-up countdown time each time they're used, but the effects and damage are impressive and often key at delivering a fatal blow.

Yeah, its a blend of common day troops and technology with a futuristic mix.

I also forgot to mention that the super weopons have an unlimited usage. Although they can be destroyed of course, or worse, hijacked by the enemy player.

There is also a hero for each army. The Allies have Tanya. She's basically this versitile marine chick who can kill enemy troops from a distance with a single shot, she can swim across lakes and such, and she can sabotage enemy units and structures by planting C-4 charges on them.

The Soviets have Boris. He's like Tanya in that he can kill any troop instantly from a distance, but instead of C-4 charge, he has this laser guider, and with it can target enemy structures from a distance and call in an air strike with Soviet MIGs.

Yuri has...himself..Yuri. He is able to mind control most enemy units and structures, turning them to your side, and he also has a psychic blast which creates a psychic wave around him which instantly kills all enemy troops in it's radius. He also stands on this floating pedistol, so he can traverse water as well.

The one thing all hero units have in common though is that they all auto-heal when they are damaged, they are tougher than the average troop, they cannot be crushed by tanks, and they cannot be mind-controlled.

The official site for the game is where you play online, and aside from playing against friends, you can also team up with other players and fight in teams. Theres also competitions and events from time to time. Every time you win you gain credit, and eventually you'll gain a rank (a military rank in the game) Theres usually a top 10 players list and similar lists of past and existing champion players, and those people win free stuff from the company that makes this game.

Excluding online play, the game is also a campaign story where you play against the computer. The story line is aided by CG and live acting by actors who play the roles of characters in the game.

"ummm....C-4...auuug" sorry for the cheap Homer J. Simpson impersonation, I just couldn't resist. sounds like a lovely game filled with chaos.
