Help! Did this cartoon show exist?

Let me start off by saying that I NEVER saw this tv show. It is my personal opinion that my friend, let's call him Scott because that's his name, swears he saw this show but I have no memory of ever seeing anything like it.

The show would have been around in the early 70s.

I do not know what network or company produced it.

All I know is he swears he remembers this show where these kids solved mysteries (it was live action as I recall him telling me) but the person who led them on the adventures was this shark in a tank of water they drove around with them.

No it is NOT "Jabber Jaw," that was my first guess to appease his insanity.

If anyone can remember if this show existed and can help me find more info I'd appreciate it.

My guess is the show didn't last a whole season, duh... gee with a brilliant premise like that who'd have guessed otherwise?

I called my friend Scott and gave him the answer and told him he wasn't crazy.

He was at a party for my friend Alvin who graduated with his double Bachelors (Chapman U.) and said to everyone "I'm not crazy, Ed said so!"

I'm not sure how much weight that really has...
