I find it infinitely unlikely that someone living in a high-class, well-kept building would be subject to eating the same amount of insects as someone who slept on the ground outside.

Staticians tend not to count the homeless unless they are a part of the statistics. Spiders are everywhere though. Not just the street. My place had an infestation last summer and I keep everything immaculate.

It kind of sucks that this was found to be bogus. On one hand, the thought of spiders crawling around my mouth and down my gullet is a little disturbing, but on the other, it's a little dissappointing. I don't really eat a balanced diet and I could've used that extra protein.

Here's another interesting fact I learned while in the food service industry. Just from buying food at any grocery store and/or farmer's market, the average person consumes roughly 7 1/2 pounds of insect parts every year.
