Here's an anniversary...

Exactly four years ago, tomorrow, I, working evenings in a miserable temp job that I had to have after having been downsized, was sitting home in the middle of the day. Through an act of pure whimsy, I put Our Favorite Word into the Google, and this place popped up.

I can't believe I've been in this place for four years. It's kind of been like being on a subway train. I've seen lots of people come, lots go. I've done and said things on these forums in those early days that now surprise me, frankly...I've done my share of evolving. I've learned many things. I've gone to gatherings and get-togethers, and met some truly fantastic people. By some wonderful enterprise, my wife has not only accepted all of this, but she's actually embraced it.

I can't even fathom what the next four years will bring. I'm hoping to get to know my friends better, though, and and to get to making new ones as well...

Knox,one of the things i have enjoyed is getting to know you my friend,even though its only been posting and a few phone calls so far.I hope this year we will meet in person,and raise a glass or three. 😀
