I AM still alive. Virus completely stripped my Hard Drive, and I'm waiting expectantly for a replacement to come in the mail. This one is REALLY nasty, called Magistr-B. Flashes your BIOS, rewrites your HD, and destroys your boot sector. Not recoverable once it's sprung itself, unfortunately. So, lucky for me I DO my weekly sacrifice to the backup gods.

What's that, you say? Nobody even noticed I was gone?

Humph...

Harrumph...

sigh...

Guess I wasn't as important around here as I thought.

I'll be checking infrequently (borrowed system, can't get too greedy), but I'll be around.

That virus sounds pretty scary. I'm glad to hear you do a back up. Are you doing it on a zip drive? I'm just trying to save all my hard drive contents to CDs.
