hey Macintosh users....?

may i ask all the Macintosh users out there (who have purchased our clips since we changed to WMV format) how its going? one mac user today said the .wmv files seem like they are downloading, but then disappear from his desktop and computer after he watches it once.

i've never heard of such a thing. i thought that once the files were downloaded, then they were on the computer, at least somewhere on the computer. he does a search for the file and doesn't find it anywhere on his computer.

what is the actual process to download a video file using a Mac?
do most of you save the file directly to your desktop?
how do you tell your MAC computer to save the file to a different place than your desktop (ie: a folder)?

reason i ask is that i think Macs don't have 2 mouse buttons, right? so how on earth do Mac users "right mouse click" and download a file?

For Mac users to download stuff, we click on a link, and hold down the mouse button. A small window opens up with the option download link to disk.

You can also just hold down the option key and click on the link.

As for myself, I had a problem downloading your large-size .wmv files until I upgraded to the latest version of WMP. I still prefer Real or mpeg, for reasons of esthetics if nothing else, but .wmv works fine.

I'm a MAc user and I have found .wmv files to have less resolution than .mpg so I don't even bother with them. As a Quicktime Pro user, I have more control of the clips.

If a .wmv file downloads as a text file the Mac user can simply open WMV and open the "text" file through the program rather than double clicking. It will then format the text file into a .wmv file.

hmmm. all new to me. i didn't know all of this. the person i talked with didn't seem to know that he could "hold down" his button on the link in order to get the "file download options."

he seemed to think that he could not get to any option choices at all.

so he would just click on the link and it would immediately open up WMP and start somewhat of a download. (on my pc, when i start a download, the Media Player does not open up on its own, immediatly, and i think that is probably a better situation).

where on his Mac can he instruct the Media Player NOT to open up when he clicks on a link?
how can he tell is just to do the download first, without starting the Media Player?
