Ok......on the one hand, as a musician, I would be remiss if I didn't at least give these guys credit for branching out into a different form of music for inspiration. I can appreciate that on a some level.

That being said, I couldn't even finish listening to it.

You can't just take the lyrics or the chord progressions of a certain song and change the genre and expect it to still work. The reason Metallica works is that the lyrics match the music.

This is like taking a Matisse painting....and putting it on a Burger King glass.

You guys who are hating on this are crazy--this is total and complete badassery. Metallica is a great band, and so are these guys. Bluegrass may not be your taste, but moving songs across genres is a time-honored tradition. Not to mention, this band Iron Horse can really play.

When I worked in the Wal"Mart electronics department a few years ago me and my fellow employees found this entire CD, cracked it open, and shoved it in a display stereo. It really is godawful, but at the same time hilarious. Kind of like the Paul Anka CD that came out several years ago. I think that one had "Enter Sandman" on it as well as songs from Nirvana, among others, all done in a jazzy "louge lizard" style. Once again, awful, but I couldn't stop laughing about it for a few days.
