long time tickler and only recent poster here. Over the years ive heard independently from at least three adults who grew up in Germany and knew of my love of foot tickling who swore that in one of their school texts there was an historic woodcarving/painting/drawing of a person being punished in the stocks of old with a goat or sheep licking their soles. Two told me it was a shrew-type woman, one told me it was a male. All agreed that it was a VERY good rendition and that the victim seemed to be going quite mad. It seems that the puniushment was more of a tickling nature and had nothing to do with some of the recent gross-out stories of people in stocks having goats licking the skin off their feet. Has anybody else heard of these older, more historic depictions of tickling in the stocks and have they or can they be posted? thanks!
