When I was much younger, I considered my tickling/bondage fetish to be more of a hobby. But, after soe time passed, I realized that it had become more than that. Now it's my one of the biggest parts of my lifestyle (next to Transformers and RPG's) and I enjoy every minute of it. Who else fels this way?

Well past a Hobby for sure.......I guess it could be considered a lifestyle since it is indeed a large part of my life and my style.😉

If It Becomes A Lifestyle..

You need to refocus on what';s really important in life.

Tickling & foot fetishism ARE my life.
It has been since I was about 5 years old. It has never left my thoughts & it IS a HUGE part of my life.
A hobby? Naaa.

It's not unusual for people to consider their fetishes to be an extraneous activity or desire, until they come to grips with the fact that it is an inherent part of their individual identity.

I've always known I had a fetish, but it took me a while to reconcile that fact to the degree that I embraced it as part of my personality make-up. And, of course it's a lifestyle. It's denial to call it anything else.

I suppose I'm a tad confused about the meaning of 'lifestyle' here. I guess I could see how RPGS could be a lifestyle (IE spend most of your free time playing RPGs or hanging out with other gamers) but I'm having difficulty seeing transformers as being a lifestyle.

Tickling i feel. Only becomes ones Lifestyle when you think about Tickling 24 hours a day 7 days a week and 365 days a year in Real Life and away from the Computer. And also when you have trouble doing other things in your life hanging out with family, etc... because all your doing is focusing your life on Tickling/Being Tickled.

That is when it becomes a Lifestyle and a obbession.

I think you may be fusing lifestyle with "Obsession," Moon. A lifestyle is that which is incorporated into your everyday life - something to which you have become accustomed. A person can become a lifestyle hobbyist, but they cannot have a lifestyle trait as a hobby. Therefore, it is not necessary that the activity become obsessive in order to become part of your lifestyle. It only needs to be present in your regular life.

I don't think there is anyone here to whom tickling is not part of their lifestyle. Whether the tickling desire is indiginous to our psycho-sexual selves, or adopted into our lives as an exciting activity, its mere presence helps to define the composite of our likes and dislikes - of who we are. It is a personality trait. It is an inherent part of a desire that is not extraneous to our everyday experiences. It therefore, cannot be a hobby.

Couldnt have said it better!

Hey cloudgazer, what RPGs you like? Im into console stuff like Star Ocean and Final Fantasy.

definately more than a hobby for me. Hope to be making some money at it soon. 😀

Not sure I'd call my love for tickling a lifestyle, but is certainly isn't a hobby. My hobbies are things such as weather research/ storm chasing, football, and playing the drums/ music...things I CHOSE to enjoy, and have a keen interest in.

I didn't choose to be someone who was fascinated by tickling....it chose me. Whether it was something I was born to do, or from growing up in a home where my parent's had occasional playful ticklefights, it's something I discovered about myself at a very young age.

I tell folks I began tickling pretty neighbor girls and sis's friends from school when I was a eleven, but it honestly began at an earlier age. I remember seeing Marlo Thomas laughing from being tickled on "That Girl"...a sitcom that went off the air when I was 7 (that's the only things I remember about that show....two episodes; one where her foot was tickled, another where she used her toes to dial a telephone).

Tickling isn't my lifestyle....not something I think about 24/7/365 (I don't post or visit TMF every day); but just a hobby? LOL....no way. It's much more than that, and has been for most of my life.

I agree with ShadowTklr's analysis, as I feel it is a "lifestyle," but only in the sense that it's part of my sexuality and therefore cannot be seen as just a "hobby." I certainly wouldn't classify it as a "lifestyle" characterized by behavior that goes beyond the normal sex drive, which admittedly may be seen as an "obsession."😀 If that's the case, however, I know I'm not alone...
