Whos excited that hockey is back!?! I know I sure as hell am. This past year was horrible :cry1: Now that the Flyers have Forsberg and Hatcher, there is no way Philly isn't going to capture a Stanley Cup this season. I don't want to say that they are "the answers," because we could've done it without them..........but they are sure gonna help a helluva lot. OCTOBER 5th OPENING GAME!!!

Let's Go Red Wings!!

thanks for your fiendly input 😛

With all due respect to those whom are hockey fans lets face facts your teams as good as they might be, will not beat the NEW JERSEY DEVILS So dream your dream as opening day approaches. But when all the smoke clears and it is June ALL of you know it WILL be the DEVILS hoisting the STANLEY CUP

thank god for hockey season, i'd have lost my marbles years ago without it..living in a frigid climate there are only so many things to do while waiting for spring (or football season 😀 )...ahhhh i hope the Sabres kick butt (one team besides the bisons has to kick butt) and since it doesn't look like it'll be my bills (YET)...then it falls to the sabres 😀.

Not a hockey fan, but I just wanted to post to say that Iam happy for all you guys who are. Iam a huge baseball fan, and I remember how bad it was in 1994 when we lost the last two months of the season, and the playoffs and World Series, and then how awesome things were when they players came back in 1995, and my beloved Braves won the World Series that year. So, have a great season, hockey fans. You guys deserve it after missing all of last year.

Mitch

The Ducks will win it all in 2006! Hockey's not my favorite sport, I just like sports in general, the Ducks are my local team, Teemu's back, and a guy can dream, can't he? :rotate: Seriously, it's great hockey's back, and I hope the team that wins the championship is one that's never won one before. Game on! :couch:

finally....but.....

i`m a rangers fan....

jagr cannot lead this team alone.i imagine he will want a trade halfway down the road.they didn`t get him enough help.

shame about blackburn.he was supposed to be in goal for the next 15 years.:dropatear

bah,oh well......LET'S GO RANGERS!!

too bad i gotta order a whole new channel to watch....

no way!!!!

you heard it here first.....Rangers will beat the Flyers opening night. :blaugh:

I am excited that hockey is back! :bouncybou Go Phoenix Coyotes led by the Great One Wayne Gretsky as Coach..San Jose Sharks look awfully good this year too!.

Wow NT,Your really going to get it from me now by saying that   Have you ever even watched hockey on TV,or been at a hockey game Live ?! Personally I have had the pleasure to meet quite a few hockey players in person that used to play for the sharks and while alot of them are nice guys that some of us ladies would enjoy taking home to our parents,Hockey players are quite serious doing their jobs as athletes and alot of them are geuninely talented, gifted being fast skaters, and having awesome hand, eye coordination and making it a sight to see them in action Live..That's just the game ,and while I don;t cheer the players on when a fight or brawl breaks out,,..there are definitely some hockey Tough guys that maybe instigate a fight to get the other players fired up,motivated...

You tellem' TH! 😀 :twohugs: LOL, but I'm glad you chimed in with your disclaimer, NT :bouncybou I just KNOW you're excited now that the BULIN WALL has landed in Chitown 😛 😀

Btw, Drunkenmstr, I too was disappointed that Blackburn had to retire so young, along with Deadmarsh in LA 🙁

A lot of things to be excited about as the season gets under way....

a) The Great One behind the bench in PHX
b) Mario Lemieux with new kid Sydney Crosby and the new firepower should
be fun to watch
c) The return of Bertuzzi in Vancouver (BOOOOOOO hisssssssssss :veryhappy )
d) Forsberg, Hatcher and many of the other old, slow flyer's riding the IR 😀
e) the emergence of Canadian teams into the fore once again will serve the game well (all 6 teams are contenders)
f) and finally, watching all you naysayers writhe as the Leafs go ALL THE WAY!! :bouncybou

GO LEAFS GO!!! :woot:

Coming from the biggest sissy without skates. 😛

Now to hockey. The Devils started their quest with a resounding 5-1 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins. Sergei Brylin and Brian Gionta each scored 2 goals and Martin Broduer saved 36 of the 37 shots on goal. Next up for the Devils will be the Flyers in Philadelphia on Friday night. The Flyers lost to the New York Rangers 5-3. The Rangers get the Devils on Saturday night in the Meadowlands. In other games, The Sabres defeated the Islanders 6-4. The Red Wings came out and SMOKED the Blues 5-1. In this game the Blues got only 14 shots on goal. The Canadians beat the Bruins 2-1. The Coyotes lost Great one's coaching debut to the Canucks 3-2. The Capitals beat the Blue Jackets by a 3-2 count. Dallas beat LA 5-4, Edmonton beat Colorado 5-4. Minnesota beat Calgary 6-3 and the Blackhawks fell to the Ducks 5-3. Florida shutout the Atlanta Thrashers 2-0. Other winners include the defending Stanley Cup Champions Tampa Bay Lightening, Nashville Predators and the Ottawa Senators all won last night.

Mind you, the Senators beat my Leafs in the NHL's first ever Shoot-out, so its not so bad... the Leafs still get a point 😀 I hate to see game's end that way, it just doesn't seem right 🙁 However, if the Leafs had won the shootout, I probably wouldn't be complaining right now, lol :Hyrdrogen

What stings now is that our Captain, Mats Sundin, is out for atleast 4 to 6 weeks with a fractured orbital bone suffered on a freak play with the puck :dropatear

Well hockey fans only 3 games tonight. The LA Kings defeated the Coyotes in the late game last night 3-2. The Red Wings swept the home and home series from the Blues 4-3 and in overtime the Rangers fell to the Canadians 4-3. The was the action from Thursday night.

The Ducks are my team, but I'm glad the Kings won. It makes up for that loss to the Dallas Stars the other night when they blew a 4-0 lead. And Wayne Gretzky's still looking for his first win as coach of the Phoenix Coyotes. 😀

Well last night the Phoenix Coyotes got their first win at the Home opener against the Minnesota Wild. :woot: I wasn;t there unfortunately in person but i did get to watch the game as it was sold out..
Gawd I love hockey and I didn't realize just how much I missed it !
