I just watched the Cleveland Browns beat the Superbowl champs New Orleans Saints 30-17. And they actually looked pretty darn good doing it too!

Wish we could play like that every week........:sigh:

I'll see what the rest of the season brings--I'm happy with .500.....hope springs eternal!

Go Browns!

Oh yeah, again I proclaim Peyton Hillis as my future son in law! He and my daughter can build a future sports dynasty with their offspring!

2010 appears to be the year of upsets and of relative parity.

The Panthers also finally pulled out a win, so I was happy about that.

Mary her off to a Hockey player Kis, they get into allot less trouble then most athletes.

The Chiefs are ahead of the rest of the AFC West. Defensive and Offensive Coordinators make the difference.

It has been a strange year so far. The Ravens were real lucky to hold off the Bills today, who looked like they were channeling the old Kelly/Thomas/Reed/Lofton squad.

I know wtf how can you bet any game anymore, Oakland posting 59 points in Denver, The Bills taking the Ravens to OT in Balitmore, the Browns like you mentioned. What are the odds a bye team won't lose lol.

Hardest year of betting football i can recall in a long time. it sucks!

Don't worry; in two weeks Browns host the Patriots in Cleveland. You can get some of your money back! Then again, they almost lost to the Chargers yesterday.

Mangini vs. Belechick.....it will be an interesting coaching match-up to say the least.:floating:

Actually she's more into football and basketball players. It doesn't hurt that she attends school down the street from the Browns training camp either.

Hell, if Hillis wasn't so darned young, I might be hanging out at the training camp........woo hoo!!

There is no love lost between those two. When Mangini coached the Jets, it was so obvious that Belichek didn't want to shake Mangini's hand. For what it's worth, Mangini has come around. I didn't think he would last half the season last year.

Seems to be the story of the entire Parcells-Belichek family tree.

Mangini and Belichek go as far back as 1994 when he was a ballboy for the Cleveland Browns. He worked under Belichek a few years before eventually becoming the defensive coordinator. The next year he went to coach the Jets, which pissed off Belichek. During the 2008 season, Mangini cited Belichek for spying on the Jets' plays, later becoming known as "Spygate". If you ask me, Belichek had a right to be livid with him because he created more drama than necessary by bringing in the NFL and making it a public matter.

Well if Belechek was spying, he deserved to be busted and called out. The Patriots can win games without cheating right?? What if every team did what they did? He and the rest of the league would be pissed. He was just angry because they got caught.

Mangini's not known for subtlety around here either; he started out way too overbearing and controlling and the team was in enough trouble as it was. They simply were not playing for him. Once he got is head out his arse and got the team's respect they played a lot better. We still suck, just not as much today as we did then!

So now I see why he coaches the way he does; he definitely has a Belechick way about him........I'm just not sure how that's going to work in Cleveland because it sure didn't work during the Modell/Belechick years.
