I was thinking today..
about how its kind of strange how i never use to be ticklish and now I am
and it started about the time i was 14 and growing big breasts and getting all new feelings.

So a question popped into my head. To hormones increase level of ticklishness? And once fully out of puberty, does the level again decrease?

No, i just stated the "growing breast" part to show that was when i was in my deepest hormonal change/stage.

I dunno, I think I went the opposite way where I became less ticklish during certain times of the month, probably because of the mood swings or whatever.

I used to be ticklish when i was a kid, but i'm no longer ticklish at all.

what happens is your body is going through changes i.e. Pubic hair, Breasts, and facial hair because of hormonal change what happens is that you may have always been ticklish but due to certain things you did not know it. Eventually you hit the point when the Hormonal changes effected you entier body. Your Feet, Toes, Lips, Hands, Fingures, Nose, Ears, Eyes, and Private areas are highly sensitive other parts of your body are just growing and therefor nerves ( which conduct the feelings and sence of touch ) may by the stretching of you skin layers suddenly be much closer to the surface and any light touch could cause tickling sensation

Well, I've been tickled a few times in the last couple of years, and, while still a bit ticklish, I specifically remember being more so as a child. So yeah, I guess I've grown less ticklish over the years. I'm not exactly sure if it's just because of hormones or something, though. I've recently came to the conclusion that, since I was tickled so much as a kid, perhaps my body's just grown somewhat used to it.

I think there may a correlation between circulation and ticklishness. Tickling is so complex that it is mental and not just physical.

Hormones COULD then be related, since they bring more sexual desires and awkwardness and playfullness and friendliness, and all that gabber.

Who knows, who knows.
Tickling IS very mysterious.

Ticklishness and hormones....

When I was a kid, I was very ticklish and avoided being tickled too well. I don't know if hormones had anything to do with it, but now I'm not very ticklish anymore. But then again, no one's tried very hard to get a reaction out of me lately, either! 😀

Hmmmmm good question, I would tend to think that hormones do play a part in ticklishness sometimes.............
.....during certain times of the month for women, they are more "sensitive" than others. Age is questionable in that factor, some become less ticklish some become more. Genetics play a part too I would presume.

Not sure about us males but I do know that the more excited the more ticklish if ya know what I mean.

In the end, I would think hormones have some sort of play but not that much.

It may have something to do with the fact some of us find it a turn on. And since most of us weren't looking for turn ons in our pre-teen years that may also explain it. Well, I definitely think what you said was true. However, in my case, im really more into playful tickling, so i dont know how the sexual turnon could affect my situation.

Ah well then Amanda, you need to have your partner tickle you till you orgasm and then tickle you more afterwards and I am sure you will find you are far more ticklish at that time.
