Hospital tickle

Hiya all!

Just another recent experiment in sequential art. This one takes place in a hospital recovery room. File is kinda big, so it may take a while to fully load.

Fairfeather, first of all I have to remark on the incredible quality of your artwork. If I could illustrate half as well, I would be my own best friend. What a great talent you have.

I also have a question. Have you ever done, or do you plan on doing any darker, tickle torture comics? I love your stuff so much that whenever I see it, I'm always thinking "what if you did a comic series involving dungeons, spies, kidnappings, etc. If that's not your thing, I understand. Just wondering. I think you're a fabulous artist in any genre.

Yeah...to tell you the truth I'd probably never be able to make it as a dark brooding tickle torture artist. 🙁 Maybe it's my sunny, softcore diposition, but I'm afraid I would never be too adept at drawing anything painful, or criminal, or gothic. That genre has never really interested me. With a lightweight drawing and thinking style like mine even when I attempt dungeons and chains, it just comes off as cute....

Whatever you do, don't change your style. I love it. Your work is extraordinary. I know how you feel about staying within the parameters of what you like. An artist's personality is bound to show through in his/her work. My 3-D stuff is a lot different in style than most out there, as I go for a more "comic" look, lots of bright colors and shallow shadowing, but that's what I like to do. I tried doing a few of the standard "deep-dark grey-blue shadows" dungeon pieces, but they came out looking like someone else's artwork.

Stick to your guns, dude! I look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.
