Go to ESPN.com and see that Houston has made everyone Mock Drafts obsolete and have picked not what they wanted.....but what they needed.

Mario Williams DE NCSt will be their choice with the #1 pick (6 yr $54 million)
Now let the madness BEGIN!!!!

You beat me to it. WOW for sure they have balls I just hope for them he isnt a Courtney Brown bust. Hmm now that no.2 pick has sooooo much value to it, the Saints phone will be ringing of the hook. Do they need Bush? I like Deuce a lot.

I dont think it was balls....I think it was stupidity. Anything they drafted had to be offensive minded, be it running back, quarterback, even offensive line. Now they are giving 54 million dollars to a defensive linemen who had great combine scores but underacheived most of his college career. They could have signed a whole brand new defensive line for that cash. The team was already 14th in the league in sacks last year...they dont need tackles or sacks. They need points, which they cant score with line up they have now. Davis still stays injured...they needed another runningback. And while Im sure the "defense wins championships" line will be thrown about, unfortunately, no one wins games for having the best defense (ask my Redskins). You win for putting up the most points. Name one team in the league that won a Super Bowl because of their great defensive end....you cant. Bruce Smith went to four of them, Reggie didnt win one until he was with a better offensive team in Green Bay, and Peppers is still waiting. Name the number of Super Bowl teams that had great running games.....the list is too long.

Bush is the most dynamic player in the draft. He can play flanker, slot, H-back, return kicks, punts, etc. If you have the number one pick, and you were 2-14 the season prior, you take the player with the most talent. I think this pick was ignorant and a waste. Unless he leads the league in sacks, this will go down as one of the worst first picks ever. And even if he does and they dont have a winning season, they still will have to question the decision.

That sound you hear is David Carr taking his own life....no new dynamic offensive player, no great backup...not even another body to protect from the onslaught of the oppositions pass rush. He has to wonder if the Texans hate his guts.

Leinart goes to arizona? LMFAO. Good times.

I love Young and I love the Titans. Can't wait to see what comes of his career.

what a crazy draft!!! first of all, the Texans letting Reggie Bush slide simply shows me that they dont have a clue on what they are doing. it would make sense if Dom Capers was still the coach, but because Gary Kubiak is the coach, Reggie Bush is MADE for that offense. Mario Williams is great, but Reggie is a special player. the Texans will be in mediocrity for a while.

to me, the biggest blunder in the draft is the Titans picking Vince Young. folks, this guy is O-V-E-R-R-A-T-E-D. Matt Leinart is NFL ready. Young doesnt know what 2 + 3 is. think about it. the Texas Longhorns had to "dummify" their offense so Young can excel. the Texans didnt run the same offense that Chris Simms ran, or even Cedric Benson or Ricky Williams ran. they ran a shotgun option offense, which doesnt exist in the NFL. Young cant read defenses. Young isnt that bright. he is just a stud athlete, but that doesnt make him a NFL QUARTERBACK. man, the Titans are going to pay for this pick, down the line. i think they picked Young because Fisher and crew will be gone after this year. it makes NO sense to take Young. NO SENSE.

Matt Leinart wins. why? because he went to a team LOADED with offensive talent (much like his days at USC). he has Edgerrin James, Anquan Bolden and Larry Fitzgerald. he is NFL ready. he is going to run that offense like a well oiled machine he has been studying NFL defenses since he became USC's starting QB. watch out for the Cardinals.

I'm just happy that my damn team grew brains this year. i was pissed off last year when they drafted Alex Smith, but drafting Vernon Davis was the SMART thing to do. this guy is a freak of nature. now, the 49ers finally have an offensive playmaker.

this draft in the 1st round was definitely interesting...
