The Eagle has landed. July 20, 1969. Neil Armstrong is the first man to set foot on the moon. I was fourteen, and I'll never forget watching this incredible event live on TV. It was a great day to be an American.

We came in peace for all mankind. From a plaque left on the lunar surface by the crew of Eagle.

We were both around during the Golden Age of NASA. Mercury, Gemini, Apollo..I don't know where NASA is going next. There seems to be no great goal in mind, and little inclination in Washington to support a manned space exploration program. The powers that be should watch this, and pay close attention. And not just concerning the space program. Powerful and moving words.
