I don't know if this topic has been discussed before. If so, I'm sorry I missed it, and I apologize for the redundant thread.
Considering how many jobs and other activities have been affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, I can't help but wonder how the various tickling video producers have been affected. I think it goes without saying that this is far from the best time to hire models for any kind of fetish production. Especially when it involves some form of physical contact. Not only is it a significant health risk, I'm assuming willing models are also more scarce nowadays (understandibly so). So, has recruitment and shooting pretty much stopped for most producers?
Personally, this crisis hasn't had much of an impact on my own activities. I haven't done any shoots for quite some time, now. However, I've already accumulated a ton of unreleased footage over the years, enough to last well after life has more or less gone back to normal. Also, my financial situation makes it hard to justify paying more models right now, anyway.
That being said, even though I don't currently have much reason to hire new models, I really wish it were at least an option. I mean, if a perfect opportunity presented itself I'd like to be able to take advantage of it. The fact that it's currently impossible, or at least a very bad idea, is quite frustrating.
When do you think it will become acceptable/safe to do indoor shoots again? More specifically, tickling shoots with the required level of physical contact? Obviously the government isn't going to announce an official date for it. So how will producers know it's ok to start recruiting models again? Should they wait until the pandemic is officially over, with widespread vaccination and all? Or is there some other kind of business/activity that can serve as a valid reference point? One problem I see with the latter is that, even if an activity is technically possible again, the various restrictions (like wearing a mask and gloves, respecting a certain level of distancing, etc.) might be particularly problematic for something like a tickling video shoot. Any thoughts?
