How do you think a tickle fetish develops ?

i remember a thread about the 1st fetish thoughts.
most people had tickling as an interest from 5 onwards.
methinks that people are just born with it.
 
could be, but maybe it is just a random thing.
after all, i love tickling, but my brother and father both love (quote) "good old fashioned straight porn".
that is why i was so worried about me having this fetish when i started out.
 
Maybe its a combo of being exposed to it at an early age i know for one i was ... huge fan of the ninja turtles haha
 
that might be most peoples reason, but i know that i have it because,1)i like the feeling (from what little i remember)
and 2) i rarely get tickled and it is not a common thing for me.
 
Mine developed as a child (about 7 or 8). My playmate was a cute little girl about my age, but the story is actually about her 15 year old sister who at the time I thought was drop dead gorgeous (I was 8, she was 15. It was a crush that was bound to happen 😛). The first experience that probably brought it about was that while I was at their house one day my friend basically laid down on my arms and her sister sat on me and tickled me viciously for a good 5 or 10 minutes. Only stopped then because after about 6 minutes of gasping and not being able to laugh I found a new found energy to let out a burst of laughter that probably alerted every neighbor within 2 blocks as to what was going on.

A year later or so we were all playing in a sprinkler system in their backyard (I wasn't having that much fun but when I heard the sister was running around in a bikini I had to be there! Even as a munchkin I knew my priorities hehe). Well, the sister ticked off my friend really bad, so she decided to get her back. There were a few of us there so we ended up tackling her and pinning her down (one on each arm. She had about 7 years on us. Still, having five 8 year olds trying to hold you down can be pretty formidable) while her little sister, my friend, went to town on her stomach. We ended up only holding her for 2 or 3 minutes, but her little sister was pretty ruthless and about had her in tears.

I regreted for many years (till I got into college) not getting in on that tickling. But it was nice contributing by sitting on her left arm. >_>
 
My interest in it goes back pretty much as long as I can remember. I'm pretty much convinced kink is genetic (for some, at least).
 
I am not at all convinced of the geneticness of kinks; psychologists and psychiatrists and whatnot believe that fetishists share a lot of the same characteristics as serial killers, so that'd mean serial killing was also genetic and that's just silly.

Personally I think it starts at the front, and ends at the end, and there's a little bit in between. Or something.
 
It's not genetic, it's not random.

I saw the April O' Neill scene between the age of 2-5, saw other scenes (Tail Spin, TMNT Caitlin/Zach, flintstones [kids] others) between ages 3-10.

I wasn't 'born' with this 'kink'. I developed it over a steady dose of time.

IMO, it's developed over a steady dose of time, when you think/realize that tickling is 'normal'/okay.
 
I've mentioned this before, but when I was about 4 years old I used to masturbate like mad, thinking about a fat woman wearing a bathing suit slowly lowering me into ice cold water. I was turned on by the fear of losing control over the sensations.

This fear eventually evolved into fear of tickling.
 
I have to say it seemed to have been built into me. The first time I ever saw a tickle torture scene, mines being the Zach tickling in TMNT, I felt strange all over and I honestly couldn't take my eyes off of it. As I grew up, I actually became damp by remembering and replay in my favorite tickle scenes in my head.

I also be felt greatly embarrass like everyone in the room knew what I was feeling. Even today, I can't be in the same room with someone if there is someone being tickle on the tv.

The point being, my secret kink may have develop and evolve over the years, but it has always been there. So, I will have to say part of it is at least genetic.

To be honest, I have no clue. I should! I have thought about it enough! Luck of the draw I guess. I have always been outside the social norm. So much so that I am kind of a social anomily. Maybe that is why I am the way I am...

I remember reading somewhere (probably on here in another similar post) that fetishes develop through exposure in early childhood. I think most of us were just lucky enough to grow up with tickling being a part of our childhood and its something we enjoyed, so we've latched onto it and carried it with us until now.

I know that tickling was a huge part of my childhood and i am certain that this is how i developed a liking of it.(I too, have my own babysitter stories! Lol.) But I find it very hard to believe that any of us are "programmed" genetically to like tickling, its like everything in life whether it be loving sports, reading, drawing, painting, whatever, we just connect with it for one reason or another and it becomes a part of us somehow.

I've always attributed it to faulty wiring/chemical wackiness in the brain. Somehow I was hardcoded to develop a tickling fetish. Same way some people develop fetishes for latex, casts, etc... I do believe that a specific event can trigger it, but I don't believe that it is absolutely necessary.
Please keep in mind that this is simply my view and I accept the fact I could be way off, and definitely mean no insult by my way of describing it.
 
I found my tickling fetish after watching the Yaqi Epsoide of Howard stern.I always had a foot fetish since i could remember and i was into bondage, but after seeing that epsoide somthing just trigered inside of me.

In my case, I don't think it was genetic. I had a very conservative upbringing in which sex was regarded as wrong, but sitting astride a girl and tickling her was the closest I could come. When I did that once and she wet herself, that became a sort of sublimated orgasm in my mind.

Same way as any other paraphilia; something in your development gets warped and leads you to lend sexual gravity to a thing that ordinarily has none.

I've yet to see that myself; not saying it CAN'T happen (let's face it, it's not like we're asking our partners if we can stab them or stuff like that >_<) but the most I've seen from 'nilla partners is a sort of shoulder-shrugging indulgence of the kink. That's only my experience though.

For me, the tickling interest has always been there.
 
I can't say it is or isn't genetic, but I have always wanted to be tickled and I wanted to tickle others.

Tickling was part of my life as a child and I still want it in my life today. :tickle:
