Ok, this has crossed my mind a few times.... Should i drop my love for tickling for the love of a person? The answer I keep getting is NO! This love of tickling makes me who I am! I will always love it and it should not be pushed aside! I couldnt picture my life without laughing! Tickling helps me to laugh at times when i just dont feel like smiling! In a nutshell, I wouldnt be ME with out it! :bouncybou

No. It doesn't have any downside for me. But the key to that is just to stick with people who understand it.
 
On the good side of giving it up, id wouldnt be frustrating when i see bare feet out in public. the look but dont touch thing kills me. but id still never give it up.
 
I don't think my life would be much different than it is now, as tickling in and of itself doesn't define who and what I am.

As far as dropping it, the contrary, I wish I could pick up more kinks!!

My friends. If i did'nt like to tickle then i would noy be a very good person to be around. It keeps me happy. So no way in hell i'd not like tickling. Its in my blood and soul. :ignite:
 
I suspect the biggest life change for me would be that if I didn't like tickling, I wouldn't be kinky at all. Tickling was what led me into the exploration of alternative sexual activities and lifestyles. If I wasn't into tickling, I also would never have explored polyamory, or BDSM anything. I think that would be a very different life, and surely not as fun. 😉

I also have to mention all the great friends that I never would've met if it weren't for tickling. I certainly wouldn't want to give them up. :grouphug:
 
I couldn't and I wouldn't want to drop it. no way! But since I don't have a 'ler in my life for the time being, :dropatear the only thing that would change, should I be able to drop it, would be that I would not spend that much time in front of my computer. 😀

Unfortunately not everybody who understands it is cool with it. I think attitude is more important than understanding, since virtually anybody can grasp what it means to enjoy giving and/or receiving tickling. The key in this case would be to stick with people who have an attitude of interest, or at least acceptance.
 
seeing as how tickling isn't a major issue in my life.... my life would basically be the same as it is now.. i like to be tickled, sure... but the opportunities just aren't there for the taking...if i were single, it would be a different story, but i'm not single....

I should not want to drop it permanently, but it would be interesting to erase it for anywhere between, say, a day to a week, and then be able to go back and feel the actual differences in experience. There are lots of things about which it would be interesting to experience being different in a major way, but it's really so hard to imagine properly because one keeps falling into the trap of thinking as if one were flipping a switch instead of building an entirely different history from scratch.

Oh, dear, I am MUCH too fond of hypotheticals...

I'm curious. What is "polyamory." It sounds like a protectorant for your car's dashboard.
 
I think if i could trade the fetish tickleing for one that was more widely accepted and have the same enjoyment with that fetish it woul dbe better. But since i cant change that I love being tickled

Of course not! I can get into just about any fetish but tickling and being tickled is the only one I have! I wouldn't be Lexie if I didn't love it. I could live without someone to tickle me but it would be hard. I love being tickled far too much!
 
No Way it should be given up

theres no way i would give it up. There are plenty of people out there who enjoy it just as much as we do, but don't think about it in the same way. My current partner was surprised when i told her about it, but we've been together for 6 months plus now and she loves being tickled almost as much as i enjoy doing it to her.
