At around 2 am this morning a fire was reported at the Texas Governors Mansion at 10th and Colorado.The building has been declared a total loss.

The building was empty as extensive renovations were under way,including the installation of a fire suppression system which the mansion had never had.

I smell an insurance scam.

Well, they now have a chance to rebuild it as a fireproof structure from the beginning. 😀

Kind of a shame really.The oldest part of the mansion dated too 1854.Arson is now suspected.

You should hear some of the theorys flying around town.The fire was set by A.A member of the FLDS(the religious sect that had their children taken by the state.)B. Someone who was in town for the state Democratic Convention,held here over the weekend.C.A disgruntled state employee,or former employee.D.A bunch of kids whose prank got out of hand.

Just a few that i heard on the local talk shows today.
