what made you tell that first person of your interests in tickling

Yeah,
I couldn't really believe M told her boss that we were going to a ticking Con. But she's got a pretty cool, worldly, and tolerant boss.

What Spenser did not add is that I have a very non-traditional job where being quite open-minded is an important requirement. I read tarot cards and do crystal healing therapies in a New Age shop that is regularly visited by tourists from around the world.

Some of you might remember that I am an artist. The greatest “perk” about this job is that the owner loves my work and buys for the shop on a steady basis.

I felt the need to add this to the thread about who knows and who one tells, because I would never want to advocate too much carelessness when one is deciding such important and life affecting issues. <sigh>

So my next question to this group would be how did you decide to tell someone? And how accepting or understanding did that person seem when reacting to your news?

Most think I'm off the deep end about the "foot fetish thing". They dont know about the deeper tickling fetish.. Matter of fact TODAY my boss, saw the "Ana and Andre on Howard Stern" and his eyes were wide and then just looked at me and said "Your a sick sick man Dre, lol".

Then last year sometime as I was walking thru the outdoor parking lot, The GENERAL MANAGER, was walking by my van, and did a stop behind it, then walked backwards towards me and asked, "Andre,...does that say what I think it says?" I answered proudly, "Yes sir, it does!" He looked again, shook his head and said, "I-I dont even want to know, I just don't...." I just laughed. Oh my license plate says Luv Toes.

Mainly the females I deal with know about the foot fetish, and then they will learn about the tickling part. But as someone said above, I think it was Viper, being IN this business, does let out a "part" of you that you just can't deny. In some cases its GOOD for some to know. That way you dont get ridiculed to an extent, it just goes by. Pretty much everyone on my job knows...no close family members (well my son has no idea I think...or he just never says anything)...thats pretty much my family besides Ana...oh and her mom knows...everyone here...and whoever else meets me. Me personally, have only told three people.

My first person to share with is one of my most best friends. I told her not too long ago; I wasn't too secure about telling her, but she was pressuring me, because she did catch me one day, browseing the TMF. I told her, she was weirded out and such, thought it was funny, all that crap. At this moment, though, she doesn't find it that weird, and doesn't give a damn about it.

The second person, we exchanged big secrets abotu each other. It was a total trust that we had at the time, but him and I are no longer friends. To this day, he's been alright with sharing that secret about himself with others, so he was to ever slip mine, I couldn't try to break his to people ( haha ). Whatever though; I do regret it, however.

The final person was my most recent ex boyfriend. It was a few months ago, and to this day, we're still pretty good friends. I find it fine that he knows my secret; I trust him completely.

I honestly do regret telling anyone other than this website. I do still feel a sort of awkwardness when either of those people are around me, and there's a tickling scene around us, close by. I just have a paranoia that people might think I'm weird or something ( Don't most people?). Right now, though, nothing too horrible has happened with my secret, so far.

I'm just afraid I can't trust too many people, at some point in time.

I wonder how much of my not caring what people think is the fact that I am both a Taurus and a redhead (can we say red headed stubborn?) or if it is simply because I have reached an age where I feel there are very few people I need to answer to. <eg>

Does age bring with it a certain ease of being with ourselves and being ourselves more openly?

how do I know if I have a tickling fetish compared to just love being tickled?

Husband tickles me during sex, does that make it a fetish then? Or still not?

And even if it is a fetish… does that really have to be a bad thing?

By definition, if you HAVE to have it as a part of any kind of sexual enjoyment, it is usually considered a fetish. If you can still enjoy the intimacy and sexual encounters that do NOT contain elements of the activity or act of tickling, then it is not really a fetish – it is simply one more thing you love doing.

I personally don’t feel that having a fetish is all that bad if it does not cause pain and anxiety, confusion, etc.

So folks… do you consider yourself owning a fetish, or simply a wonderful alternative interest? And how would you decide if it was an enjoyment or a fetish?

well, in a way, i guess a lot of people, hah. by that, i mean that a lot of people know that i'm ticklish? and seeing as i'm a major lee, i suppose that could pertain, hah. all of my guy friends/whoever my current boyfriend is tickle me and sometimes even strangers, hah🙂 of course when provoked. 🙂
