How to describe tickling?

Imagine that you with words had to explain the feeling you get when you are beeing tickled. Imagine that you had to explain that to someone that wasn't ticklish at all, and had no idea whats it's like beeing tickled. (Maybe an alien or something, cause I think everybody is at least a little ticklish).
I have no idea how I could describe it, but I find this hypothetical question interesting. All you ticklees out there. How would you describe the tickling sensation in words, and why does people in general (not YOU guys) hate beeing tickled, when it really doesn't hurt?
Sounds like two silly questions, but try to answer them if you can. I know I can't!

I'll take this one. Thank you so much for asking this delightful and perplexing question! I use to study this but, having a short attention span, I gradually drifted away from "Tickleology". I've been considering renewing these studies however as I think I was close to an important conclusion but, I'll explain what I do know and how the sensation is percieved by me personally. I would describe it as a type of tingling sensation. Depending on the way the stimuli is...hmm...applied and to what magnitude determines the intensity of the the tingle. I supose the best way to describe it would be to compare it to taste. For instance your tongue contains the tastes of sweet, sour, salt and another area -I think- that has all of them. To me ticklishness falls into the "sweet taste" catagory but, perhaps it also is mingled with a bit of the "sour taste" as it can become a feeling that is nearly unbeareable yet some of still gravitate toward it for it's sweetness. Kind of like the ambivalant pleasures of sour apple candy or sweet tarts. I don't know where my old research notes are but, one thing that I found very curious about the sensation of tickle was that it's signal travels along the same neural pathways as the sensation of pain. Hmm...interesting yet strange. Well! Hope this helps!

i don't know how to describe de tickling but i think that it depends of the situation don't you think ?

I believe than some people hate be tickled, because they can't control that sensation, especially when tickling is did keep over and over. I know people not ticklish at all, not even a little bit. Remember that descriptions are subjectives, like to describe love or any other feeling.

My subby hubby describes it as a pleasureable but intense warm, electric "buzzing" sensation 🙂 He says it is relaxing to him.
