QB and DVNC have mentioned the most proven and safe methods. Safety can NOT be overstated! I do believe still, common sense and intuition are possibly the best tools you have at your disposal. If you don't FEEL comfortable/safe, or if you SUSPECT something isn't quite right, then go with that feeling. Especially when a person is unwilling to give you any information other than a screen name and a date to meet.
I think terrorizor is on the money here. I have been planning to meet someone from this forum for the past month. after reading terrorizer's post and talking to Pete and a few other's on-line about this forum member, whom I'll call N, I have decided NOT to meet him. Anyone that wants to "bend me over a couch" is up to something I'm not. Thank you, terro! You may well have pulled me out of what could become a HUGE scrape!

This is a very good discussion. We need to stop and think about who we are dealing with and not just let our fetish think for us. Unfortunately today there are a lot of "creeps" that would more than take advantage of the situation. They could rape or even murder someone.
If you decide to meet someone, after corresponding and talking to him/her in person several times to the point you "feel" relatively safe, always let someone know where you are going and what number to reach you at. A good idea would be if you have a cell phone that has an "auto-answer" feature, turn that on. If they try and call you, the phone will answer automatically and they can hear what's going on.
