Long version:
Lazarus found me online through Josie's Tickling News yahoo group directory. He looked up my profile, claims he fell off his chair when he saw my picture, saw I only lived a few hours from him, and emailed me. I'm ashamed to say that when he first started corresponding with me through email, even though I thought he was really really nice, I wasn't looking for anyone (or at least I didn't think I was), and I tried gently steering him toward some other single female ticklephiles online whom I knew were looking for a partner. Fortunately for me, he refused to be swayed and continued to correspond with me through email daily. After about 1 or 2 months of emailing each other daily, we noticed that something was really beginning to click between us. Our daily email was no longer a novelty, but rather had become a necessity. We decided to take it to the next step and carry our correspondance to the phone. Our very first conversation lasted 5 hours straight, with both of us battling to get our own words in the entire time. There was no lull in the conversation what-so-ever for the entire 5 hours. A rarity for a first time phone correspondance. By the time the 4th hour rolled around, we both knew we would spontaneously combust if we did not get together within 24 hours. So he came and picked me up the very next morning after getting off the graveyard shift. Neither one of us slept a wink that entire first weekend. We couldn't. Both our minds and our bodies were on fire due to that mental and emotional spark one can only experience when they meet that perfect Mr. or Mrs. Right. We both cried when he dropped me off Sunday evening back at home, and we knew it would be 6 days before we could see one another again. We've never looked back since that first weekend in May last year. We've been together ever since, and we plan to marry in Sept of 2006. The lesson here? Persistance can really pay off.
Short version:
Lazarus found me through Josie the Ticklish Pussycats yahoo group, tickling news. He saw me listed in his state in her directory, looked up my yahoo profile, was interested in what he saw, and began emailing me. We emailed for about 2 months, then finally met. After our first weekend together May of last year, we knew it was meant to be, and have been together since. We plan to marry in Sept of 2006.
Don't give up hope. It can and DOES happen. Many of us here at the TMF are living proof of it.
