DO you guys think that tickling can be .......... Genetic?
I ask this cause like, man... I was sitting just alone wit my thoughts and I realized something. Ever since I was little like around 6 or 7. I like to to tickle. Every girl I teased or was close with I just had to tickle them or I tried. WHat is wrong with me? I NEVER THOUGHT about it like this before. It does not bother me but.. why tickling? Just why? It is not new to me that I like it but dammit, since I was little.

I think many of us have had those "Why me?" or "Why this?" moments. It used to bug me. But, then, I started responding to that question with "Why not me?" and "Why not this?" I enjoy it. I know there's nothing wrong with it. I know it's been instrumental in many wonderful folks coming into my life. So, now, if that question is brought up (not by me any more) I can happily respond, "Because I'm lucky!" 🙂

I've known I was more into tickling than everyone else, or felt differently about it, for as long as I can remember. The youngest I remember being and thinking about tickling was about 4. Who knows where it comes from or why? And frankly, who cares, is the stance that I take. Yeah like shoving lit dynamite down your pants. LOL. Actually, SantaFe Switch is right. I was four years old when I had my first, I want to tickle her moment. I have never thougt about it being strange or abnormal. It is who i am and I love it. As for the question of genetics, I would think you would have to talk about that with family to know for sure. I know my dad always tickled us kids as he does now with my nieces and nephews, and they ask you to tickle them. So maybe it does have a genetic quality or a coincidence.
Either way it is nothing to freak out about. Have fun with it.

You open your question asking if it's genetic - are you more concerned that it's something you're born with, or something that runs in the family?

I don't think it runs in the family. As for being born with it, consensus seems that most people here are lifers. Don't really see why that's a reason to bug out, most sexual preferences are with us from the beginning. And, like with actual sex, when we are young although we like tickling more than most people we don't link it directly with sexual feelings.

Now, if it ran in the family, that would sketch me out. The idea of my dad surfin the TMF is disturbing to say the least

you are not the only one who feels this way ....don't be sad..i loved it since i was very young myself! many of us have. I will bet a huge percentage of us on this forum liked tickling for as long as we can remember going back to our childhood. i am not sure if its genetic. i took psych classes and in abnormal psych they are not too sure where fetishes come from as far as i know i might be wrong i only minor in psych. someone please correct me if anything. i do believe we are born with it though. frankly if my ancestors or parents or grandparents had this fetish i wouldn't want to know nor would i care if i inherited this fetish or not genetically because i can't get rid of it anyway nor would i want to.

I don't know. When I was younger, I noticed that my sister enjoyed being tickled, and would stare at people getting tickled. It was kind of strange thinking that she may like tickling as well, but I never really thought that any other members of my family may have it.
Then again, I never met my father. I don't know shit about him.
Anyways, I think it's possible that a tickling fetish can be genetic, I guess. It is an interest. Can't really help it.

Why tickling?

Only you yourself can know why you like tickling. Maybe from a child hood toy or experience? Or a tough time when you were growing up and tickling was a fun happy thing?

I've always wondered what made me "this way" as well. I know that I've always loved to be tickled. I was tickled constantly by my family and have always had pleasant experiences with it. I can even remember trying to egg on people in order for them to tickle me and I was probably only about four years old. So yeah, this has been with me a long time.
