I am SO happy! (no this isn't mushy stuff)

For those of you who know me a little bit better, my IQ is supposedly somewhere above 150 but I always refer to myself as a "booksmart ditz". So about six months ago I moved into the apartment I live in now and for the first time in my life I had to hook up my own computer. Well, quite of you have heard me complaining that I can't get my speakers to work and think maybe a mean ex of mine sabotaged them.... haha. I had checked to make sure everything was plugged in and hooked up right over a million times.

I was cleaning tonight and was all behind my computer and pulled out this AC adapter that wasnt hooked up to anything on either end... I looked a little closer and bingo! The logo to my computer speakers (which my ex spent a ton of $$ on) was on it. Remove old AC adapter from back of speaker, put newly found one on and ta da!!!

Yeah, I know I should be blonde sometimes but I'm SO happy I figured out the mystery!! And I don't even care how much I get ripped on for this...

I couldn't believe it...I was running around yelling "Where are my glasses?" and finally my mom just grabs me and rips the glasses off my head and says...really LOUDLY to the rest of the family..."I FOUND THEM"...Yeah...I am still living that one down 😀

As an aside...ticklekitten, I was viewing your members pic.
You remind me of someone I used to know, same exact face type..different eyes.
Either way, you are cutie 🙂

I could go on and on about my coworker making fun of me for just doing really dumb things, asking dumb questions... but at least people realize I have the potential for an intelligent conversation and they love me for my ditziness (sp?) as a result.

It's good to know...

...that I'm not the only one. LoL. Sometimes I'll get up and go into another room for something (glasses, pen, whatever), and forget why I went in there when I get there. Of course, I'll remember as soon as I go back to whatever I was doing, and say some pretty inventive curses as I go BACK to get what I'd forgotten... ARGH! Must have some blonde DNA somewhere myself... 🙄

I'm one of those people who also can't get distracted while doing something because I'll forget what I was doing in the first place... and I've been known to go to clean my glasses off at work and realize I'm wearing contacts. Yeah...

Here's a funny one that totally makes me look awful but it's so funny I gotta share... last week I was in a hurry before work and when I got there one of my coworkers was looking down at me funny, I had on two totally different shoes!!! One was a white leather sneaker, and the other was red, silver and white with some mesh. I walked around in my socks most of the day. 😀
