She's alright when seen at certain angles in very specific poses. However she's still pretty ugly. However I find it next to impossible to find black girls attractive from sight alone -- very rarely getting to know them might help, but it's just how I am. Okay, I gotta weigh in here quick in an attempt to douse flames before they get worse.

There's nothing wrong with having a preference and stating your opinion, but do try to do so with a little more tact. I believe that is what some took offense to. I deal with it on a daily basis with those who do not find heavier women attractive, and instead of simply saying "I prefer girls to be on the thin side, but that's just my personal preference" they have to word it as "fat chicks are gross, man. I can't stand the sight of them." Big difference in how it reads. One single view can be unoffensive or highly offensive, all in how it's worded. Tact is a lovely thing.

And folks, you REALLY need to learn to accept other peoples views if you want yours to be taken seriously. Having this whole "my word is God and the rest of you don't know shit, period." attitude is actually a mild GR violation. Do try to be a little more tolerant of others opinions.

Now, to stay on topic, yes Tyra is a lovely lady, but I've seen her act too psycho and ridiculous to honestly take her seriously. That side of her personality pretty much kills her attractiveness for me.

In terms of gorgeous curvy mocha lasses, give me Ashanti anyday. Oooh mama. That girl has an ass that knows no bounds.

I said it was next to impossible to find them attractive based on looks alone, say, from seeing pictures of one in a magazine; but not completely impossible. As someone said, it's just that my preferences don't lean in that particular direction. There have been exceptions -- I've probably been attracted to someone of every race at one point in my life -- and in my mind, nothing I said should have been insulting to anyone. I just stated an opinion that still really doesn't sound all that bad from my end.

Besides, I pointed out that race because that's the race of the girl being talked about. Had we been talking about someone of another race, then what I said would have been about that one, with another opinion.

Prime, my gorgeous, I agree with you on Salma. I just love her. And Tyra? I always thought she was just a pretty lady until I saw her the Tonight show and she was just darling and had me laughing. I have to tell you all about it at the next gathering, if you can stay away from my knees long enough. Tyra also sponsors a camp for teen women to deveop high self-esteem etc. So she has scored big point with me---not that she is worrying about scoring pointw with me, but you get it.
