Munches in general are public places that people of similiar interests gather in a friendly environment to hang out. For instances in the DFW area the munch for those into BDSM is called 4th Friday. It is held at a BBQ Place in Dallas, and people meet there to register for the play that take place at The Sanctuary in Dallas, which is a Dungeon. First you meet at 4th Friday, hang out, get to know people, discussion related to BDSM may take place amongst the group, but for the most part it is every day conversation. It would be like those into tickling going out and having dinner, a movie, and then congregating somewhere later to actually have tickle play. But munches also allow those curious, or new to such ideas to meet without being intimidated, as one does not dress up in any particular attire, there are no equipment around, and one can be relaxed.
