I have discovered the only food saltier than a block of salt.

Green olives stuffed with feta cheese. OMFG. Delicious. They
pack a lot of sodium, so I can only have them as a treat (I'm
on Atkins and had to cut out sugar entirely) but they have no
carbs, and they are soooooooooo good. I just thought I'd share
with all you salt addicts. :seesaw:

Those helped break my popcorn addiction, SO full of win :yayzorz:

Oh, I love salt. I'm not that much of a sugar fan, but I can't give up my salt!!! O__O
I'm such a sour pickle addict! 😱 But this snack sounds like something I'd be willing to try. 😀 Thanks, Manda Sr.! :hysteriatrain:

Just reading this made my blood pressure go up by twenty points.

Hey BrightEyes, I saw you mentioned you were on the Atkins diet so I thought I'd give you a friendly tip. The Atkins diet really isn't good for you because not only does your body need carbohydrates, what the diet recommends isn't healthy and can be dangerous. If you're trying to healthify your life you should think in terms of a lifestyle change, not a diet that you start and then stop. A really great book that will help you immensely is the Abs Diet. The name I feel is a poor choice because it isn't a diet, it's a way to help permanently change how you eat, and it really does work. The science doesn't lie. I'd recommend this book to anyone. Just thought I'd share something that worked for me as well as many friends. Hope it can be of some help 🙂

Wait, wait, wait. Wait.

Wait.

Wait. You only just discovered these?!

Here's some sage advice:

READ the Atkins book. The lion's share of people who actually went on the Atkins diet didn't know what the hell they were doing and came away with all kinds of wrong ideas that had nothing to do with what was in the text. Most of the people who HEARD of the Atkins diet all thought you spend the rest of your life eating tons of red meat and butter and whatnot, in lieu of all carbs. Total bullshit.

What it is, actually, is an avenue to a more balanced diet DOWN THE LINE.

Too much sodium's not good either.

Those sound delicious.....but I sense an unfortunate philosophical debate about Atkins in the near future

Thank you. I was really hoping Mondy could make that post without someone coming along and naysaying the program, but ah well...I'm not about to go into an Atkins debate here, but most people who actually read the books and do what they say lose the weight and keep it off and feel better than they ever have; my hubby has lost 40 lbs since last Xmas and my best friend Jhoti went from a size 14 to a size 6 in less than a year; they both feel amazing and have more energy than I've ever known them to have; Hell, I've lost 14 just since NHLee and I've never felt better :yayzorz:

That's great bella, but don't up and disappear completely! I liked you exactly as you were in NH

You're a sweetie :Kiss2: Trust me, the parts people like are staying the same size, only the middle's getting smaller 😉

Capnmad will be happy to hear about these. He's the only guy I know how would be happy with a salt lick.

Do you know how many calories that is?
It sounds soooo good .. and I need to know for my "full proof" calorie counting diet.

Black olives, ftw. Green make me :xlime:

And whoever was the one who mentioned something about popcorn, I read that and totally went and made some. 😀

Green olives... nooooooooooo! Grandparents = olive farm = black olives are AMAZING.

Throwing my support of green olives here.....at least for purposes of stuffing with cheese

Let me say that I **hated** olives most of my life, but about 6 months ago my husband gave me good quality black olives with the pits still in them and I'm hooked, they're ridiculously good and nothing like the nasty little ones you get on pizza 🙂
