I Just Don't Get It!!!!

I have been around here a long time.I have enjoyed my time here.It is a good place to come and relax and see what other's think,and are sharing.But,what I don't get is people who,post in the Personals.They,post how they want to meet someone,and have fun.But,you write them they don't write back.I just don't get it.. Here is one of my favorites,(paraphrase).Young girl wants to meet someone for tickling fun,yeah right,and I am dating Jessica Alba.I guess I shouldn't complain,it is the internet,but man,let's have some honesty.....

There is a similar thread about this subject.Some people i imagine just post that stuff to get their jollies.Not everyone,i would think,is going to respond to every answer they get.I'm sure any female that does post something like that is buried with p.m.'s.I seldom post there myself,but i did end up meeting one person that way,and we have become friends as a result.

i think the problem is that even though most of you gentelmen are very sweet and kind you'd be really suprised at some of the pm's i've received. and yes i did post a personal and i have kept up contact with a few of the men who contacted me. but as i said when in the privacy of a pm weird and sometimes inapproiate stuff comes up. but that's just how i am. if someone pm's me i usually respond unless i get a huge creepy vibe. i'd recommend pming someone who's posts you enjoy reading rather than the personals. just a thought.

This topic comes up from time to time, and it seems like there are a few factors that keep getting mentioned.

One problem is that the number of men reading the personals section far outnumbers the women posting there. If a woman posts, she is likely to be inundated with huge number of replies, and there simply isn't enough time to reply to all of them.

Women don't appreciate replies that are obviously cut-and-paste duplicates that some men send to every woman who posts, without any regard for who the woman is or what she says. Your reply should show thoughtfulness and personal attention.

Women don't like it when men come off as creepy, desperate, or forward.

Woman probably want to know more about you than just your specific tickle fantasies. Everyone here likes tickling, so if you want to distinguish yourself, you might want to talk about some of your other interests as well.

I do agree with you Aurora but sometimes when I do PM someone i never hear back and from my posts that people read i would think that they would have some kind of an idea as to the person iam by how I respond to a thread. But i can certainly understand the bad/good vibe thing. If a female gets a vibe its 99.9% right on target

You can find out a lot about someone by reading his and her posts. If you look close enough, it comes out.

You want something bad enough, you're gonna have to work at it. Nothing's gonna just come and land in your lap. You have to make other people want to talk to you. Therein lies the path to success.
