Hey everybody. Lately it seems this is the only place where I fit in. My facebook account got deleted, because I introduced myself to someone I didnt know (apperantly an "unsolicited" message which is a no-no). How the hell are ya supposed to meet new peope if you dont send them a message!! Its not like I even said something which could even be precieved as offensive. Anyhoo, I realy appriciate the freedom I get from this site. Thanks mods for running an awsum site!

Seriously though, about your facebook account, why not simply create another account with a different user name? That's what I do whenever that happens to me, which thankfully is quite seldom.

Facebook's policy doesn't make sense to me. I would think that whatever they don't want you to do, they'd use their own technology to prevent it rather than delete you after the fact. Did they explicitly notify you that this was the action they were taking for this reason?
But be aware, too, that MySpace and Facebook and a whole bunch of other networks are consumer fads, nothing to stake your sense of identity on. Hell, there were Geocities home pages and Yahoo profiles over a decade ago, and you can still surf those and E-mail people you'd like to know. And indeed, there are the lovable nuts here at this board, so you'll have good company regardless. In worst case scenario, it's like being kicked out of one bar in a city that has a whole bunch of nicer ones (which, believe it or not, is a scenario I've known).
