Your religious beliefs are just something you heard from someone else too. Or did God tell you? You definitely didn't think of it on your own.
That was the deciding factor for me: realizing the only things I'd encountered to suggest the existence of a god were from other people, usually less intelligent than myself.
What else is there pointing to the existence of a god? Thunderstorms? The fact that our monkey brains haven't yet delineated every single step in our own development, something we started off knowing nothing whatsoever about? We've done a hell of a better job than any other species. Give the scientists a few millenia, like the church had, and ask again.
There was a Baptist preacher who accused Benjamin Franklin of causing earthquakes, because his lightning rod had deflected God's wrath into the ground instead of letting it hit the houses that deserved it. Benjamin Franklin was smarter than this man... Ben was right and he was wrong.

Betchass, Give biologists credit. they have mapped the human genome, split atoms, created over thirty new elements with the power of their minds. these are some smart guys. They've gone pretty far. the can replace all the human bodyparts more or less even the heart, which people thought was impossible. The problem with being unable to articulate the process by which these events occured is because all the science that we have is telling us that it is not possible.

i said it once, i will say it again, everyperson on this earth has faith, its only where they place it that matters, give the scientists a few mellinia and ask again. so you are placing your faith in a group of beings that have been proven to be foulable, and are ot telling you the truth about the implausability, and virtual impossibility of macro evolution to cover their own illusion of intillectual superiority.

as for the few millenia that the church had, i have never in the history of my dealings with this debate heard one credible argument for debunking sound biblical doctrine.

the ravings and rantings of individuals on their own acord is responsible for all the negative images of christianity. no one ever has a problem with christ himself and thats the point.

the mesershcmit 262 was way ahead of it's time, amazing technology, and yes, they did have a missile program in fact, they had several missiles ready to strike london until allied forces sabataged them.

after the war, many german scientists defected and helped us build the first rockets, which eventually went into space.
