I love that strangely exhilirating sensation of knowing that a powerful force of nature is coming to call(Hurricane Dennis is fixin' to ass-ram Pensacola less than ten months since Ivan bitch-slapped us), and there's nothing to do but see it out. It's scary, too, but it has a way of putting things in their proper perspective.
Considering that Jamaica and Haiti and Cuba seem to get hammered by nearly every storm that crosses the Atlantic, I have a greater appreciation for their laid-back, 'we'll see it through', reggae/soka-sorta attitude. Nature can be such a bitch, but she's such a majestic, fantabulous one, it becomes an almost transcendent thing to wait out the Big Winds! 🙂
