Hi folks.

For a while, I've been considering making my own tickling/bondage/light SM videos, and making a Clips-4-Sale store.

I'd be doing things on a profit-share basis, at least at first. For me, this is actually doable, because A: I know a lot of models from working with them, B: I am friends with quite a few photo/videographers, and C: because I'm female and quite nonthreatening, I don't think I'd have a terribly hard time getting people to work with me.

I suppose what I'd be trying to do is something rather like Bella and Viper's ventures, but mine would be far more part time.

So my question is, do you people think there's a market for another tickling/SM clipstore? It probably wouldn't have full nudity- just down to bikini- and it definitely wouldn't have vibrators or penetration because that's sort of crossing a line into the realm of porn, IMHO. I probably wouldn't have any men on camera at all, because that would be one of the ways I'd attract models- the assurance that they didn't have to interact with guys.

As a fetish model myself, I know one of the main concerns is the fact that far too often, the male producer/friend of producer who is doing the Lering/Topping is using video production just to get his own jollies.

Also, if I did give this a try, what would you like to see that you think is missing? The main points I'd try to cover would be better bondage (because bad bondage is a serious pet peeve of mine) and better outfits for both the Lee and the Ler, because the whole sloppy pajama look just isn't my thing. I prefer a much more glam look- evening wear, fetishy, corsets, etc. I might also try to get an actual plotline going sometimes.

I've already spoken to a model acquaintance of mine about doing some sort of content trade for this next time in NYC- she's a well known foot fetish/TK model. I think she's won a Golden Feather Award lately, actually- she goes by Little Dee on most sites.

There is always room in the market Kitten. Doesn't hurt that you are an active member here, and can link to your own store. Clips4Sale search is mess in that it lets sex sites put up one tickling clip and then have itself bumped every damn time it posts new clips having nothing to do with tickling. It's easier just to buy from people who advertise here.

As for no vibrator and such, that shouldn't be a problem because a lot of people rather their tickling, just tickling. On top of that we have some very talented producers such Viper that already offer it, so bringing what you are passionate about doing it what it's about. Besides everyone here that has met you knows you'd bring stuff worth seeing to the table. Good luck with it.

There is always room for market penetration if the product you put out has a level of quality and polish. You will be able to market with a built in knowledge base of your personal life and relationships within the community, which will probably serve you very well and give you a grace period in case quality is not high.

As for the product, I believe we have reached market saturation for certain scenarios, and only the trusted media producers will do well in their business model. This means people who want forced orgasms will look to bluefetish and viper, and will be more liable to leave companies with a more notorious reputation behind.

I think your model could work, because something like Tickle Abuse is doing extremely well right now. That is a production company that brings a lot of new faces into the mix. I am trying to think of the other guy who actually has his models play roles, but those videos are also mostly tickling and are of very high quality. Zen Tickling did really solid business for a while. So I think that if you were to do something, as long as you were making solid tickling videos, you would be very successful.

I am more than happy to have behind the scenes male involvement- as in Film Direction, Camera Work, and Editing,however, I have it on good authority from many models that having to interact with a guy on camera is what puts them off of a good deal of fetish work.

This is NOT to ensure that my other half does not play with the models, no matter WHAT he says.

It is to ensure that I am able to GET the models to work with me, which is always a bit harder anyhow when it is an untested startup/profitshare.

I would be on the Ler/production side of things, actually. While I personally am a 10 or so on the ticklish scale, I'm not really sure I'd want to Lee for a video. I've considered it a few times but always decided against int, for one reason or another. Lee-ing is a very personal thing for me, even though I'm an exhibitionist. Go figure.

Bear in mind that people who are primarily Lees, like me, can make the most sadistic Lers. All that stored up desire for revenge, etc.

Looking at it from a business approach - there is always more room but if you want to sell well or really stand out: do something different.

Doesn't really matter what it is, but it is something that will catch the viewers eyes. Every day new posts of very attractive and very ticklish models are placed the video section. Most of them have the person tied spread eagle, hogtied, or standing. And sometimes not tied at all (though not my personal preference). But every once in a while you get a video of someone tied kneeling down in front of a table with their arms tied to the table legs. Suddenly people go "wtf?" and poof- you have a good seller. Why? Because it stands out more.

You could probably make a few bucks going with the tried and true that you see all over the video section, but if you really want to stand out from the rest then you'll have to get pretty creative. It should be fun. ^_^

Please, no. Unless the people on camera are actual, honest-to-goodness actors, watching them fumble through some lame improv is probably the worst part of any tickling video I've ever seen. The only video I've ever seen where the dialog didn't make me cringe and reach for the remote to mute/fast-forward was "Tickle Night" - and that was primarily because of Doll Theater.

I think that it is really neat and really great that you want to do this business venture.
