All I get is this...

DigiChat requires a Java Compatible web browser to run.

I think I know what this means, but how the heck do I resolve it? I am running on Windows XP Professional, and I thought the IE would be up-to-date, but I guess not.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I would start by making sure your IE is actually up to date. In XP's home version you go to the Windows Update page and download any upgrades, its probably the same with the professional version.

Also you might try downloading the latest java platforum here:
http://www.java.com/en/download/download_the_latest.jsp
