I think I wanna live in Chicago

I have family who lives there and I just got back from visiting them for the holidays this past week. Going there as a kid was great and I still really like the area where my family lives. I'd miss Philly but I wanna try to go somewhere new...just a thought lol. I feel bad for not coming on as much as I did before, Chicago took me over for awhile.

I would add a note of caution: The winters there can be much more severe than those in Philadelphia. If you hate cold weather as much as I do, then you will not enjoy February in Chicago.

I'm not sure how different the crime rate is in Philly as opposed to Chicago and I actually love winter time lol. This will be given alot of thought before I go ahead and move.

Chicago is the greatest city ever, I still marvel at it when I would head into the city. Though I am in the burbs, it still makes me breathe in and smile. Damn I love this city!

As in the crime rates and everything else, I would imagine no different than Philly. If you like the cold, then you will have no issue here.
It's really the atmosphere in Chicago that hits everyone, I really like New York but Chicago is always home for me. There's a lot to do, if I ever hated anything about the city..it is the traffic but if you're living in the city... not an problem at all.

I noticed you are catwoman, this Gotham could definately use a catwoman since Anne Hathaway didnt film her part in Chicago, in the Darkknight Rises.

It isn't the cold so much as the incessant cold wind blowing off the lake. I thought that Iowans knew all about dire cold wind in the winter, but it took a winter trip to Chicago to get an education on the subject

Pink, I hope your goal of moving to Chicago comes true.

I've only been to Chicago once, to visit a friend who is originally from there, who now lives in NY. I was there in January, and I can agree with what mils said. The cold weather there can be beastly.

I can relate to wanting to make a change. With the things that have gone on in my life the last couple of years, I want to move back to the NYC area, which is where I'm originally from. I'm realizing that moving to Lancaster is one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made.
