And you make this seem so bad, so many peopleo n here are pessimistic, but it isn't always like that. There are some people who are okay with this, and by people I mean parents. Simply because one has had a bad experience, or feared they would have a bad experience, doesn't mean that one who wants suggestions about it is going to have a bad experience. It is just disappointing.

And don't be nervous, just do it. It is better to know than not know. If they are not open minded to love you just as much once they know, as when they didn't know, then you know they really love you. But you never know until you try.

You know, Journia is right about this. Not all parents are conservative. I still live with my parents, they are fully aware of my fetish, and they are cool with it.

I myself didn't tell anyone (exept for a very trusted friend of mine) about my fetish, not even when I first started to post artwork on this forum. I used to do the exact same thing; clicking away this site (or any feett/tickling related site) whenever someone was passing by (our internet computer is in our living room). When I started doing comissioned work for MTJ of course, things began to change.
I just said that a publisher of adult fetish material wanted to have my work published, and their opinion was like "Oh, thats great! Well done!". In fact they were so open minded about it, I felt a bit of a fool for hiding it so long. 🙂
At some point my dad (he's an artist too, but not of the fetish kind) even bought me some hard to find Saudelli comics as a present :super_hap

I've been telling people ever since, and haven't encountered a single person yet who reacted negatively. My parents know, my brothers and sisters know, all of my former classmates, and a practically all of my friends.
Perhaps people are different here in Flanders than elsewere; I've got the idea that either they know what a fetish is, and are cool with it; or either they don't know, and don't care about it. 🙂

My opinion is that you very carefully test how open minded your parents are about things like fetishes, and if they are, carefully and gradually introduce the fact that you have one yourself. Don't rush it. 🙂

So, you just won't try to tell her? You would rather exclude your own mother than include her in the knowledge? After all, if you are so open about it, you would tell her.

I had this similar problem before.

I thought about the possible benefits/consequences of telling my mother before I finally decided not to tell her. It's been said before, if your parents are not as understanding or compassionate as you think they are, you are in deep doo-doo. Unfortunately, my mother discovered this secret of mine and sadistically heckled me about it in front of relatives/friends/whoever else you want to throw in....

I honestly think that I will only be able to confidantly admit it to my wife (when I get one) or to my mother when I no longer live with her. Yes, I am a coward when I comes to this subject. I can't bring myself to tell anybody that I see on a regular basis.

I am not discouraging you to think otherwise. Do what you think is right. If you think getting it off your back and that a huge burden will be lifted from your shoulders, go ahead.

However, if you do reveal this information and it did not go as expected, do this. This is what I did when I wanted my mother to stop her constant heckling. Do NOT do or say anything that will provoke the very thought into your parents minds. Make it known that you are hooked on something less embarrasing such as video games, outdoors, drinking.....

EDIT: I'm actually screwed. My mother will find out anyways. My old computer (filled with tickle-related media) will be finding it's way back to our house soon and I dread that day when she browses it when I'm not home....

OH! That's another thing! Sorry to semi-hijack the thread but if someone found out and questions you, don't backpedal and just admit it. That's what I would do if anyone found out.

In Windows XP and probably other versions, you can set a password for your user account and make it private, from Control Panel -> User Accounts -> Change an account

Anybody who would take one's private life and sexuality, especially if its something that you obviously didn't want them, or anybody else to know, and they throw it around and make sure everybody knows and laughs at you about it, is by far near the top of my list of problems with human beings.

You just reminded me of that. I haven't seen this computer in two and a half years. However, I do remember it being an HP that has the Windows XP OS. It is also already password protected (I was very sly about getting caught back then). Now I do not have to worry as much.

I don't think she intended to be cruel and hurtful although I thought she was. I threw the word "sadistically" in there because it seemed that way.

For example, when my buddies and I were watching a football game at my house, a commercial about, I forget, I think it was for pedicures or something. She piped in by saying, "You'd better TiVo this commercial." She said it in a funny tone but my mood changed from happy to almost dead. My friends asked what she meant and she explained. I was completely embarrased. After my friends left that day, I went off.

In my eyes, she was being very cruel but she keeps telling me she means no harm. She's my mother so I have to believe her on that.

Yeah, something like that happened to me with old pals from school.
I usually put it down to being a drawer and all.
Sometimes they nod and say "well, you're good at drawing so your fetish it's ok".
