Sorry, but I'm a total foot snob and believe pedicures should be mandatory for women, like shaving under your arms. You're WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more sensitive after a recent pedicure, for sure. Ladies?

I've only had ONE pedicure my whole life and that was for my prom!! ( not that long ago at all😉

And I can honestly say,, it tickled when I was getting one, and my feet are WAAYY more sensitive now. I dont get them anymore cuz, honestly I dont need one. At least not yet. I take care of my own feet. My aunt taught me how to do it. So my feet are sexy and cute without the expenses.😀 Too bad I dont get tickled enough to really feel sexy though

oh yep for sure but...

I maintain my own every day too--(shower) and I think mine are cute and sexy also. I guess it's partially genetics, good luck and the fact that I'm obsessed--I'll leave the house without makeup once in awhile but NEVER without those red polished toenails! <gg>

I don't mind the expense, I work hard enough for it. I also really like my manicurist (she partially supports her family in Vietnam) works 12 hours a day, 7 days a week--I'm glad to spend the money on her. And she does a better job with the polish than I do--hard to see past the "twins" <gg>

What I guess I meant was that I wished more women would maintain their feet for the benefits of both looks AND sensitivity...Does that make more sense?

getting some callous is a fact of life when one walks around on their feet all day, I for one get a pedicure at least once a month to guard against this and take care of my feet like any other part of me on a daily basis in the shower and lots of lotion. I always want my feet soft and ready to go. I too go to a salon that oriental woman work in, they are tireless and always do a great job...for me well worth the money for nice looking and sensative tootsies!! Manicures weekly and pedicures at least once a month for me!

For darn sure, steph. WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more sensitive. If I can afford it, I go to the salon every week to ten days. I usually can't, but, like most of us gals, I know how to keep my feet nice, and soft, and sexy on my own, but a trip to the salon is a treat, because it DOES tickle! (And what doesn't tickle me?) and while less expensive, doing my own just isn't as much fun! I probably could cut down on the visits if I didn't go barefoot as much! NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!!!!

Pedicures

I love for a woman to take really good care of her feet nail polish and well...since i dont get em whatever else they do. Pretty feet top and bottom...especially soft looking soles are very attractive.

Well a lot of the friends already know this but I run 14 hospital floors in high heels for 10 hours a day, and I'm barefoot literally all summer long unless I'm "on the job." I've never been to a spa (though I'd love to) I streak my own hair and along with getting my fingernails done this is the one thing I do "just for me."

I agree.
My gal always teases me in her broken English about how much "easier" I am "to do" during the winter then summertime--(it's too cold to be barefoot here much in the winter.) So I always make sure to tip her double during the summer for all her hard work--no wonder I'm one of her favorite customers!!! And the fact that it tickles so much is just a nice added extra...

I recently tickled a lady who has extremely ticklish feet. But i was disappointed to find an amount of callous on the balls of her feet. although she was ticklish through this i was wondering whether if afforded protection and without it would there be even more sensitivity.

If she was that ticklish with callouses on the balls of her feet, she'd probably jump 10 feet in the air if tickled after having a pedicure. The fact she's so extremely ticklish may be why she avoids pedicures. My younger sister has extremely ticklish feet, and she's given herself pedicures since she was in high school....primarily because salon pedicures are pure torture for her.

When sis was a teenager, I once witnessed her burst out laughing from the pumice stone tickling her foot (not to mention also splashing water all over the lady giving her the pedicure...boy was sis embarrassed 😀

And as far as that goes...

...you men out there, don't be afraid to try some pedicures yourself. Your signifigant other will appreciate it, and you'll love the way they feel afterwards. Men should put SOME effort into making their feet decent-looking, when you consider the hoops you gals jump through for us! I had my first pedicure the day before my very first Gathering, as there was no way in hell I was gonna be seen barefoot at an event with my callousy old work-boot-feet! And the leg massage afterwards is another plus! I've been taking pretty good care of my feet since I was enlightened by the community. The rest of you who haven't, give it a try! Whatta ya got to lose?

my ex had I guess what are planters corns(?) on the balls of her feet. she worked hard on keeping them under control (I helped her out as well), and otherwise was always very well groomed (manicure/pedicure) and had very soft feet, especially when she found out I had a thing for them. actually, all of her was very soft.

...Must've either had a bad one done, and it DID hurt, or, my preferred belief, that it tickled them so badly that it was traumatic(kle) for them, so they discourage anyone else from getting them to "spare them" the torture. Everyone I ever talk about it with who's had them gets a look on their face that reminds me of remembered eyes-rolling-up-in-the-back-of-their-heads pleasure. Painful? Not hardly. Your biggest concern should be if it tickles too much!

Yeah, I had one done, and let me tell ya: it tickled like hell. But the only pain I got was my ego, because I was LMAO being the only guy in a room full of women, and of course I got teased to death because of it. But it does make the foot that much more ticklish after it😀

The only time I had a pedicure, it was a gift from my wife. She told the pedicurist that I had very ticklish feet so that she would try not to tickle me. Despite that, it was ticklish and my feet were more ticklish afterwards.
