I'm thinking Big Show on size and strength mostly, and possibly Kurt Angle because of his actual wrestling knowledge and experience.

Back in the day The Great Muta was a phenomenal athlete. But yeah, gotta go with guys like Angle & Backlund who were top NCAA wrestlers. Ric Flair had a strong amateur background too, IIRC.

I think guys like Big Show and Andre would get tired out too fast.

Imagine the money Aleksandr Karelin could've made had he moved to the US and turned "pro" at the height of his invincibility.

While I agree Regal is a tough dude, and could have held his own well in the MMA when he was younger, the question was about if wrestling was real and not scripted.

big show just because of sheer size

If wrestling was lagit it would have weight classes, and Show would be working as a super heavy weight.That means Sid, Undertaker and Kevin Nash would be his compitision. He is bigger then thay are, but I believe they are much faster, and probably just as tough. He would probably hold the title but only briefly.
