I won't bore you all with the gory details, but suffice it to say I am at that point now in life when all my past work is begining to show positive results. Despite all the numerous set-backs and false starts since 2001, I have made it a point to buckle down and work towards the things I've always wanted in life (begining with my occupation).

While there is still a bit of a struggle here and there, things are less of a struggle than it used to be. Looking beyond the holidays and into 2009, I have a positive outlook on things. Even thou it may take me until 2010 to really be firmly where I want to be in life, 2009 should be better.

I want to thank my friends here on the TMF. You all have given me some advice, made me laugh and have had some nice things to say about my art stuff. Its all been appreciated! Ever since I chose to delurk back when I made my attempt to take over the forum during the NHLee (I still say you all better rename that gathering...the NHL may think your stepping on their toes), this place has been more of a community for me. I attended my first gathering, met some fine folks there and I have a new forum to vent and rant. LOL

I don't consider myself the forums MVP or the most recognized or on anyones Top Ten List of anything, but I do feel a sense of belonging. Well, except for maybe with glamorous...one day we will have to settle the whole "nerd" thing with an old fashioned :slapfight: The outcome of that thou, while hardly important, is inevitable :man:

Anyway, I'm just trying to say (for anyone that cares) that I am happy and optimistic and I just wanted to share. Have a good day everyone!

Glad to see things looking up for you bro I am also glad to see your artwork again I remember the early days of the net for me and seeing your art :yourock:

Hi.

I'm very optimistic and happy too.

2009 should be a great year.

2008 was a bit crappy at the beginning, what with one thing or another. But it all worked it in my favour in the end with a bit of luck and quite a bit of hard work.

WOW!!

Did you draw those cartoons?

I hope you're earning a fortune!!!

Hey, if you're happy then I'm happy.:excited:

Always good to see a positive thread.

It's nice to hear that things are improving for you.I hope your ventures continue to lead you in the right direction. :mhorns:

I'm so glad you decided to become a larger, more vocal part of
the TMF, but you took over the forum on the July 4th, weekend
during the ACF debacle, not NHLee 😉

At any rate, congratulations on going to your first of hopefully
many gatherings, and keep up the good artwork and conversation.

Major congrats. And as someone who's going through a shit-ton of stress and frustration trying to piece my life together, this is uplifting (as cheesy as it sounds). It's nice to know that SOMEONE is looking back on the past few years and saying "Wow...it WAS worth it." I hope I'm writing the same thing in...say...6-12 months?

Yay for you 🙂

Nope, it wasn't the ACF debacle. I was taking over the forum while everyone was gone at the NHLee. Rob even did his show from there. I was listening to it while making pictures and making goofy posts.
My memory may occassionally be a bit suspect, but I can recall such events as trying to take over the world...er, the forum.

By the way, thanks for the nice words everyone! :nicethread:

I'm glad to hear things are finally getting better for you.

But it will take more than a "slappy fight":slapfight: to settle the nerd thing. May I suggest that the opponents agree to a real duel. Something manly and, of course, final. Say....something like........wet bar napkins at ten paces. That should settle the question.

You and Slacker should think about naming your 'seconds'.

Who said anything about slacker?? He just challenged me to an Avengers Trivia and has been ducking me ever since. The :slapfight: is in regards to glam and me! lol

It was a glorious and uproarious few days.
