I'm thinking about writing to the President.

Do you have any idea how many thousands of emails this guy probably gets in any given day?

As the former head honcho, even for a tiny place such as what I was running, I was inundated constantly. And it takes time to respond to everyone, but that comes with the responsibility.

I don't imagine you'll ever receive a personal response from him, lol

The realistic thing you can expect, when you write to the president, is that the staff gives him summaries of the overall content of the millions of notes he gets, and picks passages of certain notes to excerpt. It's not a question of how much he cares, but unlike God, the President has limited time to hear the petitions of his individual constituents.

I've been writing to him too, probably not expressing the same things as you, of course.

I wrote to Bush saying it was immoral to kill Americans in a war for oil... No response... I don't think it's just Obama who is too busy to respond to every concerned American. 🙂
