It's been a while since I posted something new but here 'tis:

I got to thinking, wouldn't a spaceship on a long voyage have the potential for ultimate helplessness? No where to run to, no possibility of rescue and if the whole experience is automated, well... You could beg for it to stop but the response may well be something like "I'm sorry Dave. I can't do that." My little machine isn't called HAL of course, but I couldn't think of a better name for a relentless tickling machine!
