Independent or part-time escorts for sessions. How does it work?

I've had a post on Doublelist looking for 'lees. I don't think I'll find a true tickling kinkster, but perhaps, since I know that independent and part-time escorts follow it, I'm certain I'll get some type of response. I received a response from a lady who appeared interested, but things were a bit suspicious. She admitted to being new to the whole thing, and that would explain some of her language and actions. What got me is that she requested a 50% deposit. I looked through various internet sources and it's pretty unanimous that something wasn't right. Even so, I totally understand why someone may want something up front just in case of a no show. What's fair and customary in this situation? While there's gonna be some risk regardless, what can I do to not be a fool and a sucker? Thanks in advance for your help.

No, I wouldnt do it. I got scammed out of 150 because of something like this. Proper escorts just take the money in cash at the beginning. Of course depends where you are from, but this deposit things, I would not do it. Better search for these professional escort sites, then at least you are sure what you're getting. Otherwise just if they take it in cash at the beginning.

Deposit = scam
I probably WOULD be willing to do that if it was someone I'd previously seen and trusted, and I wanted to reserve time with her.
Something similar happened to me when I was in Mexico. I found a girl through https://mx.pander.pro/en/escorts/acapulco who asked for a deposit and blocked me after I sent her the money. After a little searching, I found out she was fake and used photos of OF model.

I was going to have a girl, who was a mutual friend of a former friend, make a tickling clip of her and a female friend of hers(not the friend we knew each other by) and I trusted her. I lost out on $70 and then I was blocked. Pretty sure she’s a recovering or current addict. Unless the girl/model whatever has a page/site that shows she’s fetish friendly, I’d advise not to.

On the other hand.....

Some professionals ask for a deposit because they often have to book the space, pay for travel, and block off the chunk of time that could have gone to another should the customer flake.

I'm not even a professional, and I had someone flake after I paid for my entire trip to visit his city. He reappeared in my DMs afterwards completely oblivious to the impact.

I believe a deposit is customary IF the person is known and has references. If they are essentially unknown, I would definitely be wary. I knew a friend who requested a video chat with the worker for a smaller fee first. He was able to weed out most scammers.

Be safe, and connect with fellow kinksters whom have used the person in the past. Safest bet.

Meh! Unless you live in an area where there are all these people to connect to, indulging isn't too bad. Do what you like. Check references. Perhaps models or other avenues may be cheaper than escorts. But enjoy yourself.

It's easy for those of us who have found someone to give advice, but the reality is that there are many who won't be so lucky, ever. And there are some who are just in dead areas where there are VERY FEW people into the scene.

There's no shame in paying for it. Cheaper than paying a grand for every tk event. 🤷🏾‍♀️ Just be safe.

I've had one case where I was asked for a deposite and was scammed. That said, when I look online and see sites for professionals, it seems common for them to ask for deposites. The reasons for this are multiple. One is obviously that if they take your booking it means they aren't available for another person during this time, so if you flake or can't get there for some reason, it isn't a total loss. Second, as was pointed out, sometimes travel might be involved as well as renting a location. I will admit, though, 50% seems a bit much.

On a side note, while I agree that it can be worthwhile to look for somebody long term to enjoy your fetish with, sometimes we don't want that. Sometimes it's nice to just go from A to B without hitting C, D, E, and F.

Navigating the escort scene can be tricky, especially when deposits are involved. While there are legitimate reasons for a professional to request upfront payment—like securing their time or covering travel expenses—there’s always a risk of scams. It’s essential to do thorough research, check reviews, and ensure you're working with someone credible.

Sites like escortboard.de can help you find verified professionals, reducing the risk of encountering fraud. Always prioritize safety, verify profiles, and consider using platforms that promote transparency and accountability. If you're unsure, seeking advice from experienced community members can also provide valuable insights.

Stay safe, and happy exploring!

I am deleting all of the fighting. I have contacted the person who I think started this and asked them not to do it again.

For something like this, I’d suggest Sessiongirls or following some models on Twitter (x). Double list is very anonymous and shady (although I am also on it 🤪). A deposit and ID is customary, although may not be required.
