I have never posted before but I thought you all might enjoy this:

I recently injured my achilles tendon playing soccer and I have been relegated to crutches and a cast- Needless to sat I have been a little depressed- but lo and behold a silver lining to my dark cloud- Speaking about my injury with some female co-workers led to a discussion on my impending therapy, when one started to describe an injury to her foot and how she couldn't stand the therapy because it tickled so much. Then to my utter enjoyment they all started to talk about how ticklish their feet were and how some couldn't stand to be tickled or get pedicures- I was in heaven-
Having this happen I decided that in all further discussion about my injury I would bring up my fear of therapy because of my ticklishness- So far out of 21 females 19 have confimed they too, are ticklish on their feet with answers ranging from moderately ticklish to "I can't even think about it without laughing."(My favorite!!)
So although I'm not pleased about the injury at least I can use it to some good tickle info

I'm sorry to hear about your injury. I hope you get better soon. That's great about you hearing all those women confess their ticklishness in your presence! Thanks for sharing.

Mitch

Wow, that kind of info kinda makes me wonder if there is an openning at your job. Just kidding, but that would have been fun to listen to, thanks for the story!

What kind of therapy is it that they use on your kind of injury that tickles so much? Iquiring minds want to know.

Thanks for the great story, smit1ri, and congrats on your first TMF post. 😀

Maybe you should tell them you are going in for therapy soon and are a little afraid, and you'd like to get an idea of how it works before you go. So if they would be so kind as to give you a little demonstration...

Hey Laugher- I'm not sure exactly what my therapy is going to be yet- but the female that was explaining hers was describing a type of electric impulse they used to stimulate the muscles in the arch of her foot.. According to her it was like "a thousand tiny fingers tickling the bottom of her foot."

if only you weren't a foot person so you'd think of sayin something like "hmm, what other parts of your body are ticklish, just curious?" lol 😛 but that's awesome that u found that out.

Bad idea.

This is a lower body injury. They are quite serious, especially when it deals with the Achilles tendon. Only a qualified professional can work on it. It's to prevent further damage. And let's not forget, this is what they studied and specialized in.

Smit1ri, my advice is to take the recovery very slowly. If you rush it, you will get hurt again and you'll be back at square one with the crutches. It's not fun, trust me.
