one night, i thought to myself "hey, here's a good idea: lets gather as many devotees of esoteric and 'normal' religions as we can, including all faiths who think any faith but theirs is a sure path to damnation (basically most of them) and stick them in one forum, in close proximity. and here we are. wow. i was more wasted than i thought. 😀

so, here we go. first event: theocracyDOME!!!! two priests enter: one priest leaves. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! 😎

can i get a few atheists to arbitrate? oh, and no agnostics. the last thing i want to do is get all the god's smiting one person for being an indecisive bastard!

much appreciated. although i wonder why more people haven't visited my post...possibly put off by the drab, i-want-you-to-convert title. i am fairly sure i arrived at the solipsism comment by myself, although others may have thought of it before me. the "do + be" quotes i snagged from Kurt Vonnegut JR.

My cheeky signature aside, to me, the truth revolves around God's being created in Man's image, as another member said, in order to effect political control over a group of people. The Christian concept of sin and redemption and resurrection and transubstantiation is, to me, senseless and ludicrous. If I were to be anything, I might find Buddhism attractive 😀

I don't think God was created in man's image, I think it was twisted for political and controlling (which also means economic of course) means.

I think of spirituality as the diametric opposite of religion as the former promotes freedom, learning, knowledge and love. Religion whatever it's form, preaches divisiveness, biggotry, ignorance, blind following instead of personal discovery, anger, retribution and hate. The people who are actually religious but contain some of the finer human emotions are truly miracles, because they're ignoring some of the fundemental tenets of their controlling dogma.
